I was lucky that I was a teenager in the 70's. So many great bands started in that decade, and albums were cheap. I had a great job that paid well, a good deal more than what a fast food joint would pay a teenager today. I was able to afford buying a lot of albums and attending a lot of concerts.
As the video mentions, I would buy an album for maybe one song and would listen to the whole thing to give the other songs a chance. Many times, the songs that never made it to the radio would be my favorites, after several listenings. I am still a "deep cut" fan, liking songs that nobody else have ever heard of.
