Default The Market is messed up since the Election

The market is messed up since the Election; so I can't recommend anything, except to keep some of your money in Cash or a high paying savings account ! In this way you cover yourself for any emergencies. The O REIT is good because it regularly pays a monthly dividend; however even in that I would not keep all of my money now ! Until things even out and chaos ceases one has to be careful; at least in the US !

I keep my portfolio divided between long-term ETF holdings, bonds, some cash and (more recently) more EU/Asian market exposure. Not sure if it's the right way, but it feels good, and it's diverse enough to protect me from temporary blips. Of course, I'm looking on a longer time scale (30+ years) so even a real ass-kicking is just temporary, if I was needing the money in the next few years, I'd be much more cautious.

(Note: I am not a financial advisor - if you follow my advice and make money, good for you, if you follow my advice and lose money, c'est pas ma faute à moi...)

Sounds pretty good ! except my outlook is more short term than that ! I am also not a financial advisor; as I don't know half the things anybody else does. except that my broker is essentially useless as he doesn't give me the information I need ! If I had the time I would come out with my own newsletter or website ! But I spend time on my books now ! COKE is supposed to have a stock split ! This company bottles it; it is not the KO coke itself stock ? ! I just read it, it is not the KO itself ? Who knew the bottler existed ? Not me !

I only know the difference between bottlers and the product itself because, many years ago, a client of mine (a small city, suburbs of Chicago) was home to a Doctor Pepper bottling plant, which bottled DP, 7-up and Snapple - but was separate from the drinks company itself.
