Strange cylindrical "base" found on Mars

Pretty wild. Here's a picture of the base on Google Maps:



I don't know what to make of it, the planetary geologist explanation seems pretty vague. I googled "linear space artifact" and various other related terms and nothing I found looks quite like that. I remember a few years ago, when that "man on Mars" picture got out..



I don't think we ever got a real explanation or speculation from NASA on that. My dad works at NASA; I'm going to show him the video and ask if he knows anything about it.

Why does it have to be some super crazy space station crap?

Didn't they say there's an awesome amount of debris and stuffs up in space because of us littering up there? What if it's just some stuff that floated in the way of the camera as the picture was taken?

That's what I think, something flew in the way at just the right time, just like ol' Threepio



But as to what I think is up there,

Good point Jalen. It very well could be something floating by. It is impossible to tell if it is actually on Mars surface. It kind of looks like the space station that circles the earth. I would like to see a much higher resolution picture. It is amazing that anything mysterious photographed from bigfoot, to flying saucers are always fuzzy and or grainy. The guy narrating the video stated the dimensions confidently. I wonder how he arrived at the exact dimensions. Must be a mathematical formula.

Azhiri, can you ask your dad to whip out his camera and take another picture of the coordinates the guy found the business at?

I bet ten bucks there won't be anything there in a second photo

(or it's actually a real life monolith and NASA and the government will cover it up and when they investigate it further, smurfs will pop out and teach us the secrets of lightsabers, intergalactic travel, and how to make the pack-a-punch machine in real life)

oh wow great find .... hmmm looks very interesting. I want it to be of alien origins but im skeptical! The image is so un clear is can be almost anything. It could just be an ice covered rock .... the location is near the frozen poles of the planet if you look as he zooms in.
Either way I cant wait to hear more about this!
The second pic is just a rock in my opinion, you can see the color doesn't change from silhouette to rock ... just is less dusty .... the human mind just wants to see a person/figure there.

^That is a good point Jalen but impossible! All of the "human" space trash you speak of is in orbit close to earth ( just a few miles above our surface) and would never get as far as Mars since it is locked onto Earths gravity and ultimately the Suns gravity. Furthermore Earth is a bigger planet with a more powerful gravitational force than that of Mars, if anything space trash from Mars would come here; not the other way around.

You can do anything with the Google map-tool-things, I'm sure he was doing some space-related thing with it and noticed the weird shape on the map. He has a good eye!

It would definitely be cool if it were put there by aliens but not practical. Logic first!

My guess as to what will happen next is, nothing. I guess if enough people notice the video and make a big deal out of it, the government or NASA or whoever might make some sort of statement as to what it is (or what they'd like us to believe it is, if that's more up your alley). I think it'd be great if they got some high-res photos of the thing.

Although people usually refer to man-made objects orbiting the earth when they talk about space debris, the surface of Mars is also full of Human trash (ranging from large pieces of equipement to tiny objects). Maybe this is what Jalen was referring to.

So I have deduced two new possible conclusions.

#1:
- The space debris was just space-litter left by the aliens.

#2:
- It's actually the Pearl Station V3.0.2 that the aliens once used but are now using it as a decoy to shift our focus onto it, rather than their real base (Kamino) where they're mobilizing to obliterate us and enslave the remains into a thousand years of galactic imperialist rule.

I talked about it with my dad just now and he said he saw it, and that in all likelihood it was a cosmic ray having some sort of effect on the mechanism that takes pictures up there. Interesting.
