Cool Moi Lolita dance

I've often wondered about the dance steps Alizée uses in Moi Lolita. I don't ever recall seeing these type of dance steps before. Then again the dance routines for J'en ai marre and J'ai pas vingt ans also seem to be unique. I would think that Mylene Farmer had a lot to do with these dance routines. I really don't know much about Mylene but I've read on more than one site that her material is often described as raunchy. I think if that's the case, then maybe the dance routine for J'ai pas vingt ans was designed to more or less take advantage of the skimpy outfit Alizée was wearing. So I wonder what was behind the dance steps for Moi Lolita. Seeings how a Lolita is a young girl, are these supposed to be the type of dance steps a young girl would probably use?

It’s funny you mention it because I’ve always wondered about that dance too. I’ve seen Mylene do kicks similar to the ones at the beginning of JEAM. I believe Mylene hooks up with people she knows in New York to work out some of her dance routines for her concerts. That may also be the reason she brought Alizée to NY, but I can’t remember for sure anymore. If you have the time, search Youtube for Mylene Farmer and watch a bunch of her videos. You’ll get a better idea about her.

What a perfect little dance...

Anything more would have ruined or siphoned away attention from one of the greatest melodies ever created.
