Alizée Covers
I was wondering on anyone’s thoughts on covers that some artists have done on Alizées music, please feel free to add any remixes or covers you have done, or any that you have found that caught your interest. I don’t know if this was brought up awhile back. So please forgive me if this is old news.
Here is a cover that I found from a group called Lati 2 “ya estoy harta!” incase you couldn’t tell they are doing a Spanish version of Alizée's J'en Ai Marre <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/I4aEQ6_7Ses&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/I4aEQ6_7Ses&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> and of course Julien Doré cover of Moi Lolita <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PgqhpsCupOE&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PgqhpsCupOE&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Last edited by LE_LOUP_DES_STEPPES; 11-01-2009 at 10:06 PM.. |

The spanish J'en Ai Marre is an excellent reinterpretation... relly imprinting it with mexican musical themes.. and I love the video.
Julien Doré has a great voice... plus looking like Brad Pitt's younger, drunker, more wasted little brother doesn't hurt I'm sure... the russian one is funny: part "soviet-government-issue" entertainment, part foreign film voice over. I don't like the girl's voice though... to high... I prefer Alizée's deeper voice. This makes it too girlie.. |

Spanish J'en ai marre sounds great, and clip looks very good.
Julien Dore, hmm., prefer female voice to that song, not only because Alizée was singing it, but lyrics just don't go with him. Russian version is great example of a song, that could be sung after translation, overall meaning is saved and rhythm isn't lost. And that high pitched voice completes an image of "russian Lolita" |
