Lilly Town played on Turkish radio because of me?!
WOW! Through the language networking site MyHappyPlanet I've been speaking with this guy, Hasan, from Istanbul who's learning English. When discussing musical interests, I told him of my love for Alizée's music and got him to check out all her sites and even join the Google map. He likes to find all sorts of videos and photos of her to send me; it's pretty funny. Today he surprised me with a special dedication on a Turkish radio station where the dj is his friend, so he had the idea to get her to play "Lilly Town" just for me. They have apparently never played Alizée before! I'm still listening to the station right now, and believe me, it's all Turkish music (except now that they know I'm listening they keep playing English songs for me . Anyway, it was an awesome surprise. Only moments ago I was listening to this Turkish dj keep saying my name over and over, and that of Alizée! Hopefully this helps spread Alizée to more parts of the world, if not just the U.S.

Excellent. I know the DJ of a heavy metal show at a college in the Eastern US and he plays Alizée.

Thanks. I didn't pick the song though, he did. But yeah, I guess just knowing people in the radio biz is a start.

A couple of weeks ago I pleaded with one of the local stations to play Moi...Lolita. The dj was an ex-schoolmate of mine. They actually played it quite a few times coz they thought it was catchy!!
