Default Flyboys

If you guys haven't seen this movie I suggest you watch it even if you aren't into aviation or war type films.

The movie focuses around one American volunteer pilot for the French during WWI. As time goes by he develops an unlikely relationship with a young French lady, and that's where the movie started to really pull me in. He doesn't know French and she doesn't know English, but they still are able to vaguely communicate with each other. Because of this their relationship develops with the most basic of human senses and emotions, and in a way makes it very strong.

The reason I bring this up is because I think it would be quite similar to how most of us would meet and interact with Alizée if the unlikely scenario ever came up...cmon, we have all thought about meeting her. And from what I've seen and heard, the lucky few who have actually met Alizée at her autograph sessions actually interacted with a mixture of English and French. But in a natural setting I could see the interaction following closely to how the pilot and the French girl first get to know each other in the movie.

Oh, and Alizée would have been absolutely PERFECT for the role in this movie. The actress does a fine job, but she is no Alizée.

wooot yeah my topic, im going to have fun in here
I loved the movie fly boys, one of my favorite movies. The frenchgirl always did remind me of alizee.
edit also, If i was to meet alizee like that i would have a picture of her painted on the rudder of my jet. WWII style. As you all can see my idols below are WWI aces, my daddy was named after Eddie Rickenbacker.

Zeppelins may soon make a come back, just in more modern form . The US Air Force is thinking of making an air born air craft carrier, well right now they are doing research to see if it plausible and they are thinking of making it something like a zeppelin or of zeppelin characteristic's

You have to its a must. It was such a great movie and really shows what it was like for the first men to ever fly war birds.

Old planes rock, hehe.
Old fashioned guns, squirrel helmets, goggles!

^those old guns sucked, they always jammed! Im a fan of WWII birds such as the P-51 Mustang or the P-38 Lightening and the British Spitfire. My favorite WWI bird yes I should be booed for this is the German Fokker Dr.I triplane flown by the infamous Manfred von Richthofen, you guys know him as the Red Barron on of the greatest if not The greatest ace that ever lived. America really didn't have great birds in WWI; we had the pilots but not the aircraft. This is why we used the French and British aircraft throughout most of the war. It was the french in WWI who had the best Air Force in the world but some argue it was the Germans. It really wasn't until WWII where America's Army Air Force became the best in the world. My favorite ace of all time is Eddie Rickenbacker, Americas top ace of WWI. He is my personal idol.
Heres the trailer for Fly Boys

I respectfully disagree. You've clearly forgotten about the famous Sopwith Camel...which, in the right hands, could have been more than a match for the fearsome Red Baron!
