yea he was.... he stopped announcing for the Yankees 2 years ago after the Yanks moved out of the old stadium... but I feel like it is not the same without him. Derek Jeter is the only Yankee that still has his name announced by a recording of Bob Sheppard... "Now batting... numba tooooo Derrrriiiiiiikkkkk Jettttttttta..... numba toooo!" No one can announce quite like him!
