Default What Languages Sound Like to Foreigners

Hi friends -

Here is a very funny piece I stumbled across on YouTube.

This girl was just messing around, speaking made up words and sentences in various languages she was trying to emulate.

Talking

Lol, this is our Finns' own "Kielinainen", aka SAARA, Sara!

With these videos, she became a celebrity and is a relatively well-known public figure today. She recently attended e.g. To the Big Brother VIP program and is now a singer, etc.

Interestingly, I’ve probably never even watched her videos before this.

Default I Hear Different Words than what Alizee is Singing

As I sit here and drink some of my Bigelow's French Vanilla Tea; I wonder why it isn't Bigelow's British Vanilla Tea ? Do the French have a lock on the Vanilla Mines ? Ha ! ( Just Kidding ! )
My Native language is American English !
However, When I listen to Alizee singing "I'm Not Twenty" I hear all manner of phrases which I don't think she is saying ! This may be because my hearing may be somewhat strange as I have listened to too many aircraft engines in my time; both Prop and Jet ; as I was in our Air Force ! Just for amusement sometime : I will have to write out the lyrics I think she is saying; but I am sure they are not right ! The US is so large that Dialects change across the country. when I would visit my grandmother on one coast; I would pick up the local dialect after about a week. Then when I returned home, people would look at me funny; as I was speaking in a different "dialect" then them ! After about a week ; I would revert back to my original. But I am rambling; so I will cut out of her now and provide further info later !

I was raised in the Midwest but moved to Texas when I was 20 and lived there for 30 years. When I moved back to the Midwest 12 years ago, I definitely brought a Texas accent back with me. I lost the accent but still use many of the words, like "ya-all".

Ah ! I was in the Midwest for a number of years, so I am familiar with it ! And my Basic Training and Tech School was in Texas. So at one time I saw the Alamo and the riverfront in San Antonia ! And the Texas Ranger; I think it is , in the Dallas Airport !

Thank You , Mr CouCou !I think I meant to say "I'm Fed Up" where I hear the strange words ! for instance I hear
"Ice Cream and Sunshine" and "Umbrella" and "Chicken" and " I Cried a Treasure " at some points; which I am fairly sure she is not saying that in the lyrics, but then my hearing must be really defective ! Ha ! I guess I will have to consult a list of the lyrics in english to make sure. At some points she reverts to a stanza in French ! So , perhaps I will end now, before peoplr think I am crazy ! Ha !
