Default Lilly Town

Translation by RMJ

<TABLE><TD VALIGN="top">
Welcome
Welcome to valley of Lilly Town
The city of colors and shapes
Granny apple

London
Or Rome aside it is out of fashion
Here is no miss Hilton
Stunned Paris

In Lilly Town
The chilren dances
In the old Motown
In the yards of school

There's even
A sky so blue
Where one can see Lucy
Where one can see even
John or Gandhi
Or where one writes soft words like
Al and Simone
Lilly in her bed dreaming of Lilly Town

Seven small men wander
In the deep dreams
Whistle for Angie of Rolling Stones
In the changíng air

The nuns
Has cornets full of ice-cream
Of imagined headsets
Plays Lennon

In Lilly Town
The children steal
In the old Motown
Dances with the trolls

There's even
A sky so blue
Where one can see Lucy
Where one can see even
John or Gandhi
Or where one writes soft words like
Al and Simone
Lilly in her bed dreaming of Lilly Town

In Lilly Town
The children dances
In the old Motown
In the yards of school

There's even
A sky so blue
Where one can see Lucy
Where one can see anything
According to his wishes
Where there is a place for a little nap
At Al Capone
The desire to take the tram to Lilly Town

A pleasure (1)
Was the trip
Stop broom
Make Bree and the cleanup

Tear away
Of the blue sky
And of the notes
Of other stars, as seen
The sound, sealed to the ground
Macadamiam coconut chocholate cookies
And every evening men
Who plays the checkers (2)

In Lilly Town
Even teh weather dances
In the old Motown
The time slows down

There's even
A sky so blue
Where one can see Lucy
Where one can see even
John or Gandhi
Or where one writes soft words like
Al and Simone
Lilly in her bed dreaming of Lilly Town

In Lilly Town
The children steal
In the old Motown
Above the brambles

There's even
The sky so blue
And of the notes
Of other stars, as seen
The sound, sealed to the ground
Macadamiam coconut chocholate cookies
Lilly Town is a dream
For all these ladies

Welcome
Bienvenue à Lilly Town valley
La ville color et en forme
Granny pomme

London
Ou Rome à côté sont démodées
Ici pas de miss Hilton
Paris s'étonne

À Lilly Town
Les enfants dansent
Sur des vieux Motown
Dans les cours d'école

Y a même
Un ciel si bleu
Qu'on peut y voir Lucy
Qu'on peut y voir même si l'on veut
John au Gandhi
Ou l'on s'écrit des mots doux comme
Al et Simone
Lilly dans son lit rêve à Lilly Town

Seven petits hommes errent
Dans les bois dormants
Sifflent Angie des Rolling Stones
En changeant l'air

Les nonnes
Ont des cornettes pleines d'ice-cream
Des oreillettes imaginent
Chanter Lennon

À Lilly Town
Les enfants volent
Sur des vieux Motown
Dansent avec les trolls

Y a même

Balai delay
Faire Bree et le ménage

Ravie
Du bleu du ciel
Et des fa si fa sol
Des autres étoiles, aussi vu
Le do, scellées au sol
Coco lait chocolat cookies macadamiam
Et chaque soir des hommes
Qui jouent aux dames

À Lilly Town
Même le temps danse
Sur des vieux Motown
Dans les heures de colle

Y a même

</TD></TABLE>

(1) "ad libitum" is Latin phare, meaning "at one's pleasure".
(2) Or alternatively, "who plays with the ladies"

Going fast, here's what I got. The * indicates where it could be either "Here there's no miss Hilton" or "Here steps miss Hilton." I honestly don't know which it is, there's reason for both :-)

Welcome
Welcome to Lilly Town Valley
The city in color and in shape
Like a Granny Smith apple

London
Or Rome at its side become unfashionable
Here there's no miss Hilton*
Paris is surprised

There's even
A sky so blue
That one can see Lucy there
That one can even see there, if one wants to
John or Gandhi
Where they wrore soft words like
Al and Simone
Lilly in her bed dreams of Lilly Town

Seven little wandering men
Sleep in the woods
The whistle of Angie, by the Rolling Stones
In the changing air

The nuns
Have cornets full of ice cream
The imaginary earphones
Sing Lennon

In Lilly Town
The children sneak away
In the old Motown
To dance with the trolls

There's even
A sky so blue
That one can see Lucy there
That one can even see there, if one wants to
John or Gandhi
Where they wrote soft words like
Al and Simone
Lilly in her bed dreams of Lilly Town

In Lilly Town
The chilrdren dance
In the old Motown
In their classes at school

There's even
A sky so blue
That one can see Lucy there
That one can see there everything one wants
According to their wishes
Where we can take a little nap
At Al Capone's house
The desire is to take the tram to Lilly Town

On a whim
To make the trip
It's great to do it
The shouting and at the mixing

Delighted
By the blue of the sky
And the quality of the sun
The other stars, also seen
The back, sealed in the sun
Chocalate milk, chocolate cookies, Macadamyumyum
And every evening the men
Who play to the women

In Lilly Town
Even the weather dances
In the old Motown
In detention hours

There's even
A sky so blue
That one can see Lucy there
That one can even see there, if one wants to
John or Gandhi
Where they wrote soft words like
Al and Simone
Lilly in her bed dreams of Lilly Town

In Lilly Town
The children sneak away
In the old Motown
Below the barbed wire

There's even
The blue of the sky
And the quality of the sun
The other stars, also seen
The back, sealed in the sun
Chocolate milk, chocolate cookies, Macadamyumyum
Lily Town is a dream
For all these women.

Thanks!

I'd much rather have a town with no miss Hilton :-)

hi
it's a words game
Ici pas de miss Hilton
Paris s'étonne
>>>>>>>>>>> paris hilton, not "paris is surprised"
it's the way you pronounce it, it's more or less the same without the l
I can understand it's pretty difficult to understand those things of you don't speak french
however even english speaking ppl would understand the joke, just have to read the sentence with an english accent
it would sound like, "paris say ton"
cheers

I'm going to have to say that I think that "Here steps Miss Hilton" makes far more sense than saying that she's not there. For one thing, Paris Hilton at the very least spent most of her life in New York, and I assume that she's still there.

Secondly, the song Lilly Town is all about what you can find there, and how awesome it is. The only line possibly describing a lack of something is the line about Paris Hilton. It seems to me that saying, "The only thing that we don't have is Paris Hilton. Isn't that awesome?" is totally cruel.

I guess "ici pas de Miss Hilton" could be translated as "here steps of Miss Hilton," but I think it would be more likely that it should truly be translated as "here there's no Miss Hilton."

I mean, really, is Miss Hilton someone you'd want to have in a paradise like Lilly Town?
