Default Other French artists that you like?

I've been a fan of Alizee for years, but she's not the only French artist that I love.

Jean Michel Jarre is one of my favorite composers, and I like Daft Punk as well (Not their "Random Access Memories" album though, that was garbage).
For people who don't know his name, I'm sure you've heard his most famous track, "oxygene IV" before:

Bear in mind this was made in the 1970s in his kitchen (!). Way before Moby, way before widely used personal computers. Everything you hear is made from analogue synthesizers and recorded onto tapes, which adds a lot of charm in my opinion.

Honorable mentions:
Yiann Tiersen (Amelie OST)
Sebastien Tellier (Somewhere OST)
Mylene Farmer (Alizee's early lyricist, singer/songwriter, the "Madonna of France")

Whom do you also enjoy? It can be modern French artists or oldies but goodies like Francoise Hardy

Feel free to post tracks too, I'd love to learn more about French musicians, any genre.

Actually, I had my first exposure to Jean Michel Jarre in 1986. I was living in Houston, TX at the time. He had a concert that used Houston's futuristic skyline (at that time) as a backdrop for his special effects. It was a really big deal for the city and I became a fan of his afterward.

I can't believe they actually had a YouTube video of it.

Lucky! I haven't attended any of his concerts. :/

This is one I mentioned 3 years ago. I gave it a bump in case newer members haven't seen it.

Jean Michel Jarre is truly a pioneer of electronic music

Speaking of other French singers, I found out from an Instagram post by Ske Leton that the video for this years Les Enfoires show will be aired on TF1 tonight at 9pm Paris time. It's 1:30 on the east coast and 7:30 in Paris, so that's in about 1 1/2 hours. It probably wont be viewable in this country, but I'll take a peek just in case. Unfortunately Alizee wont be in it, but the odds for next year have gone up quite a bit recently.

I'm not sure about next year... Their old place was only two bedrooms (as best I can figure) so if they moved it could be to be closer to the studio, or because they need more space. #rayspeculation

Edit:

I was reading an article this morning about the broadcast and like most articles about this year's Les Enfoires production, they pointed out that Alizée was missing. I think it's a Tele Losoirs article.

Edit:

Okay, here it is. https://www.telestar.fr/actu-tv/les-...le-show-325835

I gave it a shot, but wasn't able to view it on TF1.
