Paris map with record store location
Well it looks like it's time to get serious about this concert because it looks like it's going to happen.
I'm reposting a map of Paris with some of the places marked where Alizée has performed. I also added the location of a record store Roman was kind enough to show the fans who were there in October. They had a good supply of her cd's and posters. It's on a side street right by the George Pompidou center which is right up the road from the Hotel de ville. The hotel de ville is apparently what they call their city hall. This is where Alizée performed J'ai pas vingt ans during the 100th running of the Tour de France. The web site for this store is LUCKY-RECORDS.COM. hope it's okay to post that here. I sent them an e-mail saying there will be numerous Alizée fans in town that week and asking them to stock up on her material because I was going to post their location on a couple of forums. I'll attach a picture of the Pompidou center. Once you see the picture, you can't miss it. I also added another map, showing the locations of small stores (yellow baskets) in the Rex area, where you can stock up on food and drinks. I know some restaurants charge around 9 euros for 1 beer where as you can get a six pack in one of these stores for about 7. I would still tread with caution guys. I know some have it easier than others to bail out, but just to be on the safe side have a back up plan. You never know. We don't want to have the same huge dissapointment like last time, with people losing way too much money. So plan carefully.

Hm, I think I might have been in that record store last summer. I'm not sure though and I don't remember seeing any Alizée stuff there. Also, the place was closing down as far as I could tell...

They had a huge selection of Mylene Farmer's cd's and albums. I did e-mail that store, telling them about the concert and the fact that I would be posting their location on a couple of forums so hopefully they'll take the initiative and stock up. Of course, giving the state of the world's economies, who knows, they might not be there anymore. I'll post it if I hear back from them or if I find out wether or not, they're still in business. |

Open for business!
I went back to their website. It looks like they're still in business.
The name of the store is ECOUTE CE DISQUE. The website is LUCKY-RECORDS.COM They had a posting on their web page dated 2/24/09. I'll post a picture of it. You'll see Aliée's name on it. You wont find the amount of Alizée's material at the larger record stores in Paris as you will here. |
