Alizée's Accent
I know aFrenchie has said before that he doesn't think Alizée has an accent, but I think she sounds very different compared to other French people I hear speaking. I don't know if maybe her voice is just unique or maybe I am just listening a lot closer to what she is saying.
When I watch her interviews, I think she sounds way different than the person asking her questions ... again, maybe it is just the way her voice sounds or something? What does everyone else think? |

I think she has accent ! It's impossible not to have some kind of accent. Every part of country has some sort of accent. Alizée speaks most likely like all the other Corsicans, so she speaks in Corsican accent. It may be similar or equal to some other parts in country but it still exists.
But yea, which is more pronouncing, her Corsican accent or her own way to pronounce ? Because she does speak different way than many others. I got trouble to understand some of her speak because I can't sometimes hear separate words coming from her mouth. But it's all ok ! Because it sounds so lovely ! |

Maybe it's her deeper, softer voice.

I listen to the interviews of Alizée intently and in my opinion these are the best videos you provide for us. I cannot tell if she has a Corsican accent or not. She just sounds french and she sounds extremely sexy when she speaks.
Her voice hits a chord with my brain in some way. I just love her voice and just the way she carries herself in an interview. I am sure she has some kind of french accent relative to her region of the world, the island of Corsica. Most french probably notice that and as a result Alizée is not as popular in France as we americans think she should be. Maybe there is some friction there between mainland France and the island of Corsica. Maybe Alizée is regarded as an outsider to millions of mainland born french people. |
