Please note that I am not advocating piracy in any way, shape or form. It's just probably the most efficient way to transfer such an enormous file (4.12 GB!) June 18th FULL Concert Video by T@KEO DVD If it's not cool, go ahead and take it down, and we'll figure out something else. Quote:
EDIT: ...because a few people have already asked me in PMs how this whole torrent thing works, here's a short tutorial on how to download torrent files.

Thanks! There's nothing intrinsically wrong with posting a torrent here, it just depends on the content. Still though, at 4+ gigs I'm thinking it might be easier if you told us how you made it, so we can re-create the DVD ourselves from the original files?

The program I used to convert the files and author the DVD is DVD Flick, which is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. It did have a little bit of trouble with T@KEO's files--it wouldn't generate thumbnail images, and warned me that the files might not encode properly--but they seemed to come out OK, for the most part.

So I've been seeding the DVD torrent I made for about a week now. I haven't really publicized it much, just added it to one tracker and threw up the link here. And in that time, I've drawn two interesting conclusions:
1) There is a metric assload of closeted/non-vocal Alizee fans out there, many of whom appear to be American. It took until about Tuesday for the torrent to really pick up speed, but since then there hasn't ever been less than 100 peers in the swarm...and at times, it's gotten pretty close to 200. (This doesn't sound like much, but consider that folks are downloading this thing fairly quickly as a result, so old peers are cycling out and new ones cycling in on a consistently steady basis.) This appears to support a theory I've held for awhile, that we're just a vocal minority, and not the whole of Lili's North American fanbase. There appears to be an awful LOT of lurkers out there... 2) The demand for a DVD of the Psychedelices tour is definitely there, if this many people are clamoring to download a 4GB bootleg. (Granted, I don't know how many of these people would actually PAY for it, were a commercial version to be made available, but that's a whole other issue...) I'm tempted to throw this up on some other tracking sites and see if the numbers continue to bear out, but I suspect that might cross the line beyond "giving back to the community" into outright piracy, and I don't know that Lili or her record label would appreciate my little science experiment.

I appreciate the uploads but I hate how Myléne won't let the songs go and give all right's to Alizée because they don't even sound like what she had and what I stumbled upon when I started listening to Alizée. And I guess she isn't allowed to do the dance either? This isn't the Alizée I love. Although it's nice to see she hasn't forgotten one of my favorite songs in the world. J'en Ai Marre.

I suspect she has no desire to perform that dance again either. |

I'd actually love to have studio recordings of all the "new" versions, especially Moi Lolita and JPVA (the bassline for which I've had stuck in my head for days)! Quote:
