Personally I never paid much attention to Céline myself, I know she played my really small (-10 000) hometown when I was in junior high but didn't bother with it, my sister went though, but that was back when she had just started to sing in English and hadn't become that popular outside of Québec yet. Even now except for a handful of her early songs I can't say I listen to much of her stuff. Most of her English stuff, especially the Titanic stuff, was overplayed and although not terrible, it wasn't great and I just got really sick of hearing her on the radio all the time. But I do enjoy it whenever I catch one of her really old videos on TV though, sometimes an artist's first few videos, when they only barely have any money, can be the most interesting.
She sounds better in this video, but I am actually more of a fan of MC Toupin (her other songs more than this video) and it is very strange to see her this vulnerable, but Céline, was an inspiration to her growing up and to meet her was like a dream come true for her. They decided to get into an impromptu duet, and this was the result. They are singing "Ce n'était qu'un rêve" off of Céline's 1981 debut album released when she was only 13.
