Well got another delay letter from Amazon.com. today.

Alize (Artist) "Psychedelices" [Audio CD]
Estimated arrival date: 01/18/2008 - 02/04/2008

This is ridiculous that there is such a problem getting them in the U.S.

I'm ordering my 3 regular CD's today from France.

Release Dec 11th what a joke. 5.5 to 8 week delivery delay.

I tied to Edit my last post and add the information here but it got stuck in a loop.

Well I just ordered them from Amazon.Fr.. It took me less than 5 minutes to do it and the Email said it was going out tomorrow. I should have them by 26-27th of Dec.

I'm cancelling my order with Amazon.com here in the U.S.

hi
I think it would be more interesting for you to ask a relative in france to send you the CD's by EMS, UPS or FedEx
you would group your orders and then get low shipping fees and short delays
cheers

Not that many of us have relatives in France. And then we're so spread out geographically in the US that the person who receives them would have to re-send them at additional cost. It might save a few dollars total but is probably not worth the hassle.

Same here, estimated delivery 1/16/08--1/30/08. Who is their wholesaler? I'm tempted to go to amazon.fr but I don't have an acct there and I can't read french.

If you have an Amazon.com account it will also work.
Open a second browser IE window for translation and just click between the windows.

I used babel fish to translate. Just copy and paste and hit translate.
Don't forget to set the translation for French to English

It will take about 5-10 minutes to do your order.

See sticky on main forum page on ordering Alizée's DVD from Amazon Fr.
It will give you an idea of how to do it.
Ordering DVD from Amazon.fr

Once you have ordered from Amazon.fr once or twice you can blow through an order in 2 to 3 minutes at the most.

Digitalfie, do what ALS posted. That's how I ordered the En Concert DVD and the Psychedelices CD & Limited Edition CD.

It's pretty straight forward, and as stated your Amazon.com account will work on Amazon.fr.

Just to give you an idea, I pre-ordered in November. The release was Dec. 3. At which time I received a new e-mail stating the estimated delivery of Dec. 10. I received my Amazon.fr package Dec. 15 via international courier (snail-mail?). So, it's a pretty decent turn around considering the initial date quote (at the pre-order buy confirmation) from Amazon.fr was Dec. 14-17. Just remember that you'll be paying in Euro's. It cost me ~39 Euro (for both) and I was billed ~$59 USD at whatever the exchange rate was at the time the financial transaction was processed.

I asked my Mom for the CD for Christmas, and she got a message saying it was delayed until January. I asked my Mom to cancel the order from Amazon.com and buy it from Barnes & Noble.

Obviously CD's are available in France. If we order from France ourselves we get them quickly enough. Why can't a big company like Amazon.com get them? Their own French outlet has them. I think the whole thing is rather odd, and somewhat suspicious. As I said before, I already have the LE version, so I might just wait it out.

I'll be interested to see how you guys who ordered from Barnes & Noble make out.
