These were rumors earlier this year about the iPhone, lets see how true they were...
Apple's New iPhone Specs Revealed ?? Launch date July 17 ?? Concept of Apple's New iPhone: http://www.iphonehacks.com/2009/05/a...e-july-17.html Folks at iPhone fan blog are reporting that a source close to Apple's hardware team has revealed the specs of Apple's next generation iPhone to them. They are also claiming that the source has told them that Apple's new iPhone will be announced at the Worldwide Developer Conference next month and launched on July 17th. As per the iPhone fan blog, here is the specification list of Apple's new iPhone: * 32GB and 16GB storage (up from the current 16GB and 8GB models) * $199 and $299 price points to be maintained * 3.2-megapixel camera (up from the current 2-megapixel camera) * Video-recording and editing capabilities * Ability to send a picture & video via MMS * Discontinuation of the metal band surrounding the edge of the device * OLED screen * 1.5 times the battery life of the current models * Double the RAM and processing power * Built-in FM transmitter * Apple logo on back will glow * Rubber-tread backing * Sleeker design * Built-in compass * The camera, GPS, compass and Google map combined will identify photo and inform about photo locations * Turn-by-turn directions Also iPhone Plan to get Cheaper: AT&T to Offer a Monthly iPhone plan for $20 with Limited Data Access ?? http://www.iphonehacks.com/2009/05/i...ta-access.html About a week ago, we had reported that AT&T might be considering a $10 price cut in monthly iPhone plan when Apple announces the next generation iPhone at next month's Worldwide Developers Conference. BusinessWeek is also reporting that as per people with knowledge of AT&T's thinking, they might introduce a monthly iPhone plan for $20 (a $10 monthly reduction) but with limited data access. Analyst Richard Doherty speculates: The exclusive U.S. iPhone service provider is considering cutting the price of its monthly service package or offering a range of lower-priced plans, say people with knowledge of the company's thinking. One plan that could be introduced as early as late May would include limited data access at a $10 monthly reduction, the people say. The possible price cut likely reflects the back-and-forth between AT&T and Apple (AAPL) as they work out whether and under what terms AT&T would remain the sole U.S. iPhone carrier. Apple may want flexibility in pricing as a condition, analysts say. "We understand it's part of the extension [of its contract] that AT&T wants to maintain," Richard Doherty, director at consultant Envisioneering Group, says of the prospect of lower data-plan prices. As Apple considers whether to widen its circle of U.S. providers, AT&T may have less ability to balk at Apple's requests.

Yeah, it's very cool technology but the hype (and that's what it is) surrounding apple and its toys is getting on my nerves...

Yes they are (look at the iPhone hard drive sizes, was last year's models), Steve Job's did not do the keynote this year, everyone has been a bit worried about his health, Job's took a leave but he is supposed to be back at the end of this month. The keynote this WWDC was done by Phil Shiller, all the fans (including Alizée ) was hoping to see a surprise appearance by Job's but I guess there wasn't one.

The Apple Keynote was just put up a hour or two ago and I just finished watching it, Phil Schiller is no Steve Jobs but did a good job along with the rest of the guys. A very interesting watch if you are into Apple's latest projects, lots of cool new features for OS X Snow Leopard and the iPhone along with new products. If you are intereted in watching the keynote presentation go to www.Apple.com and click the video link in the bottom left.

GOD I LOVE APPLE!!!!!
I will work for them one day... That was a great keynote as it always is, but without Steve, it was lacking that special something. I was expecting a whole new iPhone but this is better than nothing! Apple blows my mind at every keynote. Its like a drug. I want to get back to that first high, when the first iPhone was announced. But each time takes more and more but it still doesnt compare. I'm glad to say I'm addicted to Apple... and Alizée. And Evo's. But there is just one more thing... WWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! !!!!! NEW IPHOOOOONE!
