Microsoft plans to sponsor an annual international tour for the Sounders, and the field will be named "XBOX Pitch at Qwest."

Don't get me wrong.I really enjoy watching MLS as well. Not so much for the matches themselves but I love listening to the American commentators.

Not in a mean way but ,even though they clearly understand the game , the terminology they use is completely alien to European audiences and totally fascinates me.

Sadly Smicer was injured for very much most of the season. 4 appearances and 1 goal. I'm sure had he not been injured we'd have finished the title race with 4 or 5 games spare!!
I don't see how Garry O'Connor has ever played an international for you. He is AWFUL. As a football writer does this mean you get inside scoops on transfers and other news =P
xx
That's a shame about Smicer , I interviewed him at Euro 2004 and he was a sound guy.I take your point about O'Connor , that's probably why he's now slipped to our 8th or 9th choice but maybe he'll find his level in the Championship !

As for any gossip , I hear a few things on my travels so if I hear anything juicy about Birmingham I'll let you know if I can.

No problem. We didn't do too badly for all the players we had missing but the Czechs were well worth their win.Just an observation , and I know he's been prolific down the years , but you looked a much better side when Koller went off.Without him you had a lot more pace and movement , qualities needed to succeed at this level , so maybe Koller would be better as an impact sub.

Anyway you're looking in not too bad a shape for the Euros.

I heard that Rosicky is out though, that is a tough loss.

Yes, that is true, Rosicky has a "strange" injury. He can walk or run fine but Arsene Wenger doesn't want him playing. I really hate Wenger. Hopefully Matejovsky repeats his display against Germany in Qualifying, where we went away and embarassed them 3-0 to qualify. He looked phenomenal then! How did you get into your line of work? I currently sell car parts at a BMW garage in Solihull, Birmingham. Do you have any notes or videos of your interview with Smicer, I'd be very interested to see/read this
Do you ever visit Birmingham? If you do it would be super to meet up with you to not only discuss football, but Alizée too!
I hope we repeat Euro 2004 and make the Semis, if we get to the semis it becomes an open tournament and maybe, just maybe we could beat Germany on penalties like 1976 =D

Interesting, that is one of the many reasons my dad loves watching English football. He loves how the commentators speak .
