Engineering, eh? Both my parents are engineers and I'm taking calculus and physics (both of which are extremely difficult for me), so I wish you good luck finishing up your degree (I don't envy the tough course ahead of you ). Oh, and even though you might not need to use the formulas and mechanics ever again, it is advantageous to understand the concepts behind what is being churned out by the computer - just my opinion .

I find it pointless for those with goals similar to mine, and required for those with goals that are not similar to mine. Personally, nothing old professors and pieces of paper can teach me how to do any real musician's work other than learning it myself, beside, even if there is a class for it, all they teach is grandfather instruments and grandfather performance styles.

Now, college however, gives you a nicer chance at a nicer job, like sitting down as a doctor, cutting people open and doing paperwork for almost most of your week.

In my personal level, i'd take a LIFE of personal enlightenment over money and materials.
If I can make music I like at a cost, i'd take that over living life on a schedule to-a-day basis doing a job that's not going to take me anywhere except getting money.
And if I die, well, at least I lived life!

Anyways, this is becoming quite a game, no? People are just announcing news about Lili's status that anyone can find out for themselves?

Very true. I went out with someone for awhile whose family knew the CEO or President (I forget which) of a major oil company. He was miserable! He hated himself for what he had had to do to get to where he was.

His goal was the money, and thats all he ended up with (until he died).

Very true, and very good advice. The difference between a good technical engineer and a great technical engineer is the degree of understanding of the science (and associated math) involved.

As I described above, success is no guarantee of happiness. However, someone who truly enjoys what they do will be happier, and this will invariably translate into more success in life.

Heh, point taken...but actually I like seeing the thread bumped with updates every so often. I usually keep iSpy running in the background while doing other stuff, and the thread updates a) keep me from having to go to the RA site to check myself between votes (yes, I'm that lazy), and b) often serve as reminder to vote again when my hour's almost up.

Plus, it's nice just to see the excitement and the camaraderie this thing inspires. Nothing wrong with a little chatter from the dugout, y'know?
