Does this then permit any ethnic group who has been forced from their homeland to demand and reclaim their former lands?

Can my ancient European relatives who belonged to a tribe in modern-day France, but were conquered by and assimilated into the Franks, agitate for the return of the entire city of Marseille, as it was their native locale?

My point was, the land was not stolen, it was demarcated by fiat, by the Winning Powers of WWI and WWII, same as the nations of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.

It was in response to your statement:

"How can a country which was forcefully created from stolen land hope to live in peace?"

And I was just pointing out, nothing was stolen there - League of Nations and UN created two nations (palestine and israel) that had not existed before... The Arabs decided that the League and UN resolutions that had created those other countries were good enough, but not good enough for the creation of Isreal...

Deemed Jewish state in 1948 by league of Nations. Put a fork in it . It is done. To the victor go the spoils. I'm with FRA. If you go jab a bull in the ass you will suffer the consequences. Do the Palestinians want some cheese with that whine. Besides we all know who is behind Hamas. IranI think I am going to renew my vows @ Cosco

This thread was amusing at first, but I think we're starting to violate the first rule of AAm: no politics...
