It was cool! Don't get me wrong. But just for the first novel minutes. (I might be more displeased at the cost of 'em. I mean, I usually go to the theater for free!)
Ohh, thought you ment you didn't notice it until 20 mins into the movie. Well yeah, you got used to it after awhile and if you try taking the glasses off it's not that much of a difference, except the blurred out out of focus parts.

I guess the real marvel in technology was the advanced motion capture, tje 3D was just cool feature which becomes available.

I have no doubt there will follow much more spectacular 3D movies in the near future but this was the first of it's kind and it's always fun to know you was there when it all started.

"did you kids know that I was there when the first 3D movie came along?!"

"yes grandpah you told us 5 minutes ago..."

Default "Teenagers In Trouble" - an anthology of film trailers

Hello, cinema lovers!

Because of my involvement with historical societies, I became
aware of the Digital History Web site created by the University
of Houston. It is an "educational and non-commercial site designed
specifically for history teachers and their students." In the days
before the launch of YouTube (November 2005), it already hosted
a collection of mainstream film trailers, claiming the defense of
Fair Use
for its right to do so.

Thus I decided I would have a little fun creating a self-paced
anthology from a subset of this collection, giving it unity
by means of small segway statements. The theme I settled
upon for this summer 2005 exercise was Teenagers in Trouble!
I had no grand ambition or point to make, but merely wanted
to demonstrate to some people the instructive power of online
video. The attitude taken in the narration doesn't necessarily
reflect the opinions I really have about some serious issues:
whenever I could "push someone's button," or even just go
for a cheap laugh, I did!

I recently was reminded about this project, and in reviewing
it, I thought I would share it with you folks! First, Alizée's
superstardom spanned her late teen years and leveraged her
age to explore the teenage heart. But there are also some
cute coincidences which might help draw you into watching.

If you do watch, you begin with some footage from the same
guy who did Alizée's favorite film, Le Grand Bleu. Madonna's
ex-husband makes an appearance, as briefly does an actress
who starred in Alizée's (favorite?) film built on a dancing theme.
You'll get to meet a naive provincial French girl named Lili,
portrayed by someone less innocent in another film. There
is yet another country girl, with a little dog, who goes to the
big city. You'll also visit with a famous short person born in
Ajaccio, and even MULTIPLE Mademoiselle Juliettes! For what
more could Alizée fans ask?

So make a big bowl of popcorn and then lean back to enjoy
Teenagers in Trouble!

IMPORTANT NOTE: The interface of this self-paced anthology
is NOT terribly sophisticated and reuses one I created for
some classroom material designed to run under Internet
Explorer (IE) 6 using an 800x600 pixel screen with the top
header of IE retracted (use key F11 to toggle this). Screens
of at least that size should prove adequate, in that they will
expose the pushbutton controls at the top of the screen one
uses to pace this "courseware." (Should the buttons not be
seen, you can advance between screens by tapping the space
bar, but do not hit others like the arrow or backspace keys.)

Well if you watch Avatar in 3D at an IMAX theater you will definitely notice the difference from the very start.

It's also shown in a few different 3D formats that might not be as effective in some theaters also.

I'm gonna go see it again once the crowds start to thin out.

Lol to be honest I watched Avatar in 2d twice because I loved it so much, then I just had to see it in 3d and it is lot better to watch it in 3d then in 2d.
movies I watched recently are Book of Eli was preaty good. The Spy next door-was funny, Jacky Chan is always fun to watch . Legion was just awesome . And DayBrakers was ok, still liked it but it was ehh.

Saw The Invention of Lying.

Was a pretty bad movie. Wasn't exactly a comedy, wasn't exactly a drama, it was just a bad mix of mediocre comedy and bland drama.

3/10

The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3.

It's kinda like 24 with it all going down in real time, but with everybody dropping the F-BOMB on a regular basis. Travolta going apesh!t with anger issues and swearing all the time make this worth seeing in my opinion.

Having grown up in Mayor Lindsay's "Fun City," the subway there is deeply ingrained in my memories. As video games grew more sophisticated by the late 1980s, I said to myself that one day they would have to make a graphically realistic adventure-style game in which you ride the subway. Every time the doors opened, it could be scarier than The Lady, or the Tiger?, Guardian Angels be damned. Well, I guess Grand Theft Auto, Liberty City finally made that a reality.

Anyway, my favorite line in the original 1974 film was:

Screw the goddamn passengers! What the hell did they expect for their lousy 35 cents - to live forever?
