LOL well, I suspect she can be a pain in the ass to work with.

So I don't really think MJ's as good of example of her new direction as, say, the David Rubato Video directed by Rebecca Zlotowski.

Maybe not. I was suggesting it as an indication of creativity, not of where she's going these days.

Edit: I just watched the video for the first time. (Yeah, I know.) Anyway, I can catch a very similar feel between that and the MJ video, in that both of them leave you saying, "WTF is going on?" and they're both dark and a little weird.

That Director's cut was self-indulgent poo-poo. It was a peak at what would happen if Alizee let herself get manipulated into what other people want. What was his comment that alluded to that he wouldn't work with her again?

Those pics seem to look like what Alizee would be like of she was trashy, on rehab and drinking. I don't mean that as a criticism. I know this is something deliberate on her behalf. Its just an observation about how stars today seem to self destruct. What I luv about Alizee is that she has such self respect. She doesn't degrade herself and as a result, people don't degrade her. thats why I luv her.

I still trust her as an artist, that she will do something thats more about self expression and not exploiting us or herself. Everything seems broken in the world these days.. if Alizee can remain unbroken, that would be great.. I think I might survive this insanity.
