Yeah, imo it STARTED to change after she had the baby and then did Psych. Something about the shape of her face and everything...definitely different. And actually with Psych there were still a few pics/videos where she still looked somewhat similiar to her MCE days, with a few changes. However, now with UEDS, the changes are more pronounced. I've definitely noticed that as well. She's still beautiful, just...different.

Hello, everyone! I've been waiting for the chance to participate in your discussion. I just couldn't find the right moment.....until today. I've joined this forum about three months ago. Although, I've been visiting this site and reading the forums regularly since I started listening/watching Alizee about almost a year ago. Just like most of you, I discovered Alizee through Youtube (Thank God for Youtube and the internet!). I think it was the world famous elf dance in the sailor outfit that made me download her stuff. I actually downloaded a lot of her stuff a long time ago without even watching them. Even though she was super hot on that video, it wasn't enough for me to get hooked on her. It took me several more months before I looked her up again on Youtube and stumbled upon her singing J'en ai marre live in En concert. After that, it just blew me away! I knew I had to get that DVD! Now, 99.9% of what I listen to is Alizee. This has never happened to me before. I've listened to a lot of singers and watched their music videos or DVD concert before. I would do that maybe for days, even weeks, then I would moved on. But with Alizee, I just couldn't get tired of listening or watching her. She's the most talented singer I've seen in my life. The more I listen to her songs, the more I like them.
For me, a true fan is the one who supports her no matter what. I mean not just because of her looks. Sadly, for some, especially for most of the the younger ones, that's the case. Once the looks goes away, so do their enthusiasm. I know she doesn't look the same as 5-6 years ago (although she is still the sexiest in France and second only to Megan in the world, as per FHM). For me, she'll always be the most beautiful, talented and wonderful person I've known in my whole life. The TS even compared her to Cher. Let me say this: I wish she'll have the same career as Cher. Because that means, she'll have a very long and pretty successful career. Cher had a successful movie and singing careers. She won a lot of major music and acting awards. She also had a hit song for four decades. That's a long time for us to enjoy Alizee's music! I just hope she doesn't dress up or get plastic surgeries like her.
Finally, I think Alizee could revive her career by representing France in next year's Eurovision. I know she said before that she has no plan in participating. But, maybe we could convince her to change her mind. I think it's a win-win situation for her. Eurovision is being watched every year by over ONE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD! ABBA launched their career though that show. Can you imagine what it can do to her career? I'm sure she could have won years ago with any of her hits - hands down! But I believe she can still win it. Definitely she still has the talent. All she need is one good song. France, as part of the big four, is guaranteed a final slot. Which means, Alizee does not have to compete in the round robin or semi-final. France has not won the award since 1977. I'm sure they want to win another one especially after their neighbor Germany won this year. Even if she loses, just the fact that she'll get the worldwide audience she so well deserves, is a big win enough for me.

Welcome to AAM.

Anything is possible, but I would wager that it is highly unlikely for someone like Alizée to ever even CONSIDER plastic surgery. One of the reasons many of us like her is due to the fact that she's so..."real," for lack of a better term.

Welcome to the madness!

A true fan will admit when they don't like what the artist is putting out. If they think that's what you want when you really don't they won't change.

Jung

A lot of people treat reconstructive surgery like a crime. When celebrities do it, at least. But on shows like Extreme Makeover, when average non-famous people have reconstructive surgry, they are supported and not hated on. Why is it different for celebrites? Because celebrities have to be naturally pretty? I don't mind if a woman has a little bit of surgery. However, on the flipside, someone like, say, Kim Kardashian or Pamela Anderson, who is more plastic than skin/muscle/fat (yes, fat gives your body shape too, even if you're not actually fat), that's ridiculous. But having a small nose job, or maybe some eye work, doesn't bother me. Also, there are some people who look better without surgery, like Seohyun, she was far cuter before. But she's still very pretty. But that's because they didn't fill her with plastic, they just kind of cut back some stuff. Basically, what if someone you know got some small recontructive surgery, and it made them look better; would you treat them like celebrities?

Yeah, that's the funny thing. As a celeb, you have to look good but if you look too perfect, you'll get hated on. And whether they are celebrities or not, most people in general do A LOT to improve their appearance - think about all the beauty products out there as well as the prevalence of supplement companies, the fitness culture, etc. over the past 20 years or so.

Our American culture asks for the impossible - you need to look great but you can't be superficial. lol wtf?

Kind of reminds me of certain lines in the song "Californication" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

It's just that with Alizée I don't think she would do it because she doesn't really have any major flaws. I don't think she would even want to change anything about herself physically. That would be my guess anyway. She eats in moderation and she's a dancer at heart, so I don't see her getting fat despite getting older, slower metabolism, etc. And she already has the most perfect nose ever, so def not getting a nose job. LOL.

Thanks, Rictor! Like I said to ma just moments ago, reconstructive surgery is the same thing as (though far more permanent and intense than) wearing make up. Using UNNATURAL means to cover up NATURAL flaws. And make up can detract or increase one's beauty just as much as surgery can.

Agree 100% also!

Edit:

You know what's sad? I was in Italy from 1998-2001. I could have been stationed for another 3 years in Germany after that. Which means I COULD HAVE WATCH EN CONCERT LIVE! Who knows? Maybe another three years in Europe and I would have heard or watched Alizee somehow. That was during the height of her career anyway. I was also in Paris during the summer of 2001! Oh well. At least I've been to the place where she now lives.

Edit:

BTW, Thanks for the welcome, guys.

Thanks. Yes. In the military. Navy in particular. So sad to think about the possibilities. You know, the "What might have been"
