I use Sony Vegas. It is not the easiest editing program, but it is VERY powerful once you learn how to use it, and more importantly, is very stable compared with the other programs I have used.
As for playing back video files, I use many. Divx Plus, VLC, Window Media Player. I have not found one that plays everything perfectly. For instance VLC is the only one that consistently plays back subtitles correctly, but it screws up on playing back some videos WMP handles with easily. |

i thought it was smooth and easy... i read some tutorials before i used it that way i could get around easy... i actually used vegas to make time well wasted...
