He just means she won't accept requests from people she doesn't know.

That is definitely a fake profile.

Melle Alizéebis was the name of her "public" Facebook page, but FB took it down, because apparently an artist can have only one profile page plus a fan page. (That makes NO sense to me! )

Anyway -- she now has a fan page, called "Alizée," that you can "like" and get updates from. She also has her private page, which used to be called "Melle Alizée," but I believe has been renamed "Alizée Jacotey." She does not accept friend invites on that page from fans, or so I assume (I haven't tried).

No other Facebook pages besides those two are hers.

Okay, when I search for ‹Alizée Jacotey› there's a billion different profiles.

That's irritating. There can be endless impostors, but if the real Alizée makes two profiles they get deleted.

Right. That's her fan page. You can't "friend" her on that, but you can "like" it and her updates will show up in your news feed.

I'm not actually sure why she has a private FB page. I keep mine open to pretty much anyone, and just don't put anything on it that I want to keep private. I don't have any problem with my fans (who admittedly aren't nearly as numerous as hers -- yet) also being my friends on FB and some of them have become real-life friends, too. If I want to communicate with someone privately, I just use email or the telephone.

Oh, well, that's her call of course. Anyway, she doesn't update that page all that often, but if you click like on it you'll get it when she does.
