Finally, I think we should go with Corsaire's explanation and thanks for the link. I didn't know or forgot that it was a children's game. You see, there are so many things that are simple to comprehend and obvious for the French that we might not get because we aren't from that country (not that that really makes much difference to the appreciation of a spunky, sexy, adorable, young woman). Ok, here's a video just because it made me laugh. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/uo2Hb6h4qe4?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I totally agree my friend...
But anyway, HelixSix, I don't think Scruff was saying that people responded immaturely because they questioned him, but simply because some said he was wrong or that he "needs to stop saying crazy things" like Euphoria said. And Scruff is neither wrong nor right and should be able to express his ideas without people telling him he can't...

As far as your hypothetical post, the only thing wrong with it is the use of the word Mexicans. I don't know why but though the word Americans would be perfectly fine, the use of the word Mexicans sounds some what derogitory and I think that's because I've heard it used so many times in a derogitory way so in this case I would have written it....................because she hates the people of Mexico, but as far as if you had proposed that she stayed away from the audience because she hated the people of Mexico, that I think would be a perfectly fine idea to propose to the forum. Are we supposed to think Mylene is perfect? |

It really annoys me that so many people here act like Mylene is some sort of sadist or Stalin like dictator. I'm sure at the time, Alizee probably enjoyed being sexy. She was at an age where girls are just starting to explore their sexuality and become young women. They enjoy wearing provocative clothes and being flirty and teasing. As she got older, its obvious she started being influenced by her friends and boyfriend, and started doing the more adult rocker thing instead of the cute, sexy tease. People change, just because they were a certain way for a while doesn't mean that anyone was forcing them. She was a young girl trying to figure out who she was. Nevertheless, Alizée has certainly given the impression of not being a person who is particularly inclined to do doing things that she does not want to do because someone told her to. She might actually be a bit too stubborn for her own good in fact. Again, I don't really know. There's so much in the way this industry works that prevents things from being clear. Humans in social situations tell big and small lies all the time, sometimes for personal gain, sometimes to avoid hurting someone else's feelings, sometimes to seem more consistent just because we all waiver more or less in our feelings at different times of the day/month/year. If you are a fan of pre-2004 Alizée, I don't see how you can dislike Mylène Farmer (and Laurent?) in general. If you are just disappointed about how things turned out after that and are lashing out, well, how about we just let it go then? By the way, I think JoeNY was being sarcastic, just joking anyway considering what he was responding to.
