For or against School Uniforms?

So I'm doing this research paper on school uniforms/dress codes and would like to know what everyone's view on the subject is. Would greatly help if you all would reply and give a brief explanation. thank you! ^_^

We have a uniform at my school. I think its fine. You dont have to think about what to wear everyday. One less thing to do.

As long as they're not really ugly, why not? I've never liked sifting through all my clothes trying to find something I feel like wearing the next day.

I'm too tired and sore to properly state my opinion (8 hours of paintball tryouts, having to clean the garage after, did all that while being awake for 24 hours) so I'll just put it in bullet points

Pros

- the uniforms can be tailored to appease any dress code

- look agg* as shit

- I kinda like ties anyway

Cons

- Costs the school more money, regardless of it being private or public

- I know some students that can't afford a new backpack, let alone a uniform (should the students have to pay for it)(referring to public students)

- squelches creativity and self expression (without sounding too counselor-y)

- schools think kids stay away from some students in favor of others based on their clothing, and that uniform clothing will remove that barrier and create a better environment and all that shit

- the whole school girl uniform thing may attract more pedos (this one isn't entirely serious)

- the school is going to have to become very authoritarian to ensure that the uniforms are properly maintained and worn

- it would be very easy for an assassin to group blend after making a kill... so the halls would never be safe
