I agree with you. I think it has been suggesteed to her that she start building her network, and interface more with fans, and twitter is a good way to do this.

Something that worked really well for Linda Ronstadt was doing covers of others' songs. Her verions are timeless and will always sound up-to-date.

Perhaps Alizee should consider this as one possible approach, or at least in part for her next album.

I have heard songs she could do both in french and english that are commercial and have not been out by anyone ion a long time.

I agree! And may be some duets as well. Some of my favorite ones are her covers of Il Jouait Du Piano Debout; La Javanaise; Dis Lui Toi Que Je T'aime; Formidable; L'important C'est D'aimer; Adelaide and of course, the Les Enfoires songs.

A short while ago she tweeted something about e-mailing a French composer. It almost sounded like she was just starting the process. Now it appears the album is well along the way. I hope plans for a release aren't too far off.

Yeah agreed! Except I feel like if she was going to let her label listen to it, then she would have recorded every track. That's what I think the case is
