Yeah I've seen others say they had trouble ordering with Firefox. Try switching browsers (I would permanently switch to Google Chrome personally, it's a much better browser than FF or IE anyway )

Sorry, maybe I missed this. Can anyone say for sure how well her single did in the States? If it was a huge hit, and by huge hit, I mean on crazy proportions. Like...a one hit wonder? The point is, if the single sold millions upon millions of copies, then Sony France may consider advertising her more heavily here.
If someone pops around with that proof, I have the same question. On the other hand, forget the US. If the single did just as well in a geographically smaller country, that would be worth the money to advertise and maybe even tour. But since Alizée herself is struggling in her home country, I can only imagine that Sony doesn't want to waste their time or money trying to expand an already thin market. Just throwing this out there, but if we seriously wanted Alizée to be more well known in the US, someone should slap a chorus of her in a rap song. Like Flo Rida did in 'Good Feeling.' That lady singing was ripped from another song. I forget who. But put Alizée in a rap like that!...you'd get attention. And she's in no shortage of catchy tunes.

Alizee rapping and throwing *west side* signs while screaming F#CK THA PO-LICE ...
But yeah in these days no matter how shitty the lyrics nobody really cares it all about nice music with a catchy chorus |

I am in agreement with the disappointment in Sony Entertainment... I expect more from a company so large. If they feel that Alizée is a worthy investment, then they should promote her. I am beginning to wonder if they have Alizée signed in one of those probationary contracts where she must sell a certain amount of records before they treat her well.

Sony quarterly financials
Throwing this up on this thread for anyone interested. I don't read these things and don't interpret them but the headline of the article I saw it in said something about losses. It covers all of Sony's empire, and it does somewhat describe the layout of Sony Music Entertainment. I read it to say that all the Sony Music Entertainment units throughout the world are subsidiaries of SME USA, aside from Japan.
http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/fina.../12q1_sony.pdf A month later and A Cause de l'Automne still isn't available for purchase on US iTunes or Amazon. I don't think anyone is surprised about that anymore. |

Doesn't have anything to do with Alizee, it's basically just for investors. By the way, if you actually looked at it, you would see its earnings from April 1st to June 30th.

I think we should write an open letter to Sony from her fans and send it to them stating that we would like her album released in the U.S. and that we are all eager to purchase it!
