While it only has Paris in it for about the last half hour, I'd have to say that The Double Life of Veronique is my favorite... just because it's one of my favorite films period. And hey, a crucial scene actually takes place in a Café L'Alizé (small chain) in Gare Saint Lazare!

Great review of the new Criterion DVD:

Oh, and fair word of warning: you will fall in love with Irene Jacob after watching this movie!

Not all of it is in Paris, but a great portion of it, and most of it takes place in France. One of my favorite movies of all time, "The Bourne Identity".

Two of my favorites are Le Febuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain and Ronin.

Others that comes to my head (what I have bought quite recently):

Les Amants du Pont-Neuf
Tais-Toi
The Da Vinci Code

Not Paris but Corse (you must see this ! ):

L'Enquête Corse

Too many to be listed! (80% of French movies are set in Paris, which is way too much of course . France is not Paris!)

Yes, France is Paris AND Corsica.

But yea... I know what you mean. But that's how it is almost always with everything... one steals all the attention.

Altho... since it's Paris, it's acceptable. It's wonderful little town.

Tho, it would be nice to see other parts of France, too. Well... maybe during Lili's tournée...

a good portion of Rush Hour 3 is gonna be set in Paris, and theres suppose to be a scene atop the Eiffel Tower. i liked the first one, the second one not so much. i'll have to see how the 3rd one is.

Ronin and Amelie are the only ones i can think of right now. the bourne identity was pretty good too

Without a doubt, it's La Haine, which happens to be one of my favorite films regardless of where it takes place. Kind of funny actually, La Haine was directed by Mathieu Kassovitz, who plays the boyfriend in Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain.. Here's a clip:

Nique la POLICE!!!
