It's my 'opinion' that is was playback. I think just about every facet of her career back then was carefully orchestrated by MF and they wanted her sounding her best, even when singing a song, that wasn't one of her own and so they used playback.
Plus the fact that even though she's standing in place, she's moving around quite a bit and that has an effect on your voice and that reason alone is enough to use playback. I think it was Madonna who said: "You can have good singing, or you can have a good performance (i.e. dancing), but you can't have both.". Last edited by Scruffydog777; 06-26-2019 at 11:57 AM.. |

I enjoyed the way these 2 fans were getting into her JPVA performance in June of 2003.

There was the first Les Enfoires when Alizée, 16 years old, was wearing a light blue nit top. The cameraman zoomed in on her chest and it didn't take him long to realize that wasn't a good idea under those bright lights. He made sure every shot was above her chest after that.

In this video, I've always found funny how Greg looks at Alizée at the end of their dance (minute 1:49). I mean after that she "hits" him with that move. It was obviously a planned dance move, but I think that Greg expected Alizée to perform it a bit more gently
