Maybe a better question would be what kind of roles does she think she could play with an arm full of tattoos? I don't think the tattoos completely puts her out of the running, but it doesn't help her.

True, but I think this can be easily solved by a long-sleeved shirt...
Moreover tattoos can be covered by make-up or, for high budget films, CGI.

I think she would be a perfect Disney princess or an elf for the Lord of the rings TV series Amazon is producing lol
Maybe it's a little too much, but she would be amazing

Yes, an elf with AK-47 on its hand would be too much.

Alizee must get royalty income from the gour/MCE catalog--- which she'll get for the rest of her life. (I don't know if its enough to live on or not.)

That was very interesting question. I've just found her site and there is mentioning of Alizée on its main page (though she is something like a competitor for Madame now):

Quote:
Claquettes! This means tap dance. Why Alizée has never shown us something like this:

I would really like to see it.

I don't think it's a case of songwriters losing their touch, I think it's more a case of great songs come out of personal experiences. These early songs have a lot of passion in them, because they are from the heart. The songs that come later, are from experiences that don't mean as much to them and the great passion isn't there. It's not because the songwriters are losing their abilities.

As far as finding other no less talented composers and producers as MF and LB, this is what Wikipedia has to say about Mylene......"She has sold more than 30 million records in France and is among the most successful recording artists of all-time in France. She holds the record for the most number one hits in the French charts, with twenty to date – eight of which were consecutive.[4] Fourteen of her albums have also reached number one in France.

So finding others who are as talented and successful as MF/LB, for a female singer, will not be an easy task.

I read a few articles about the topic of age and songwriting. One cited numerous examples of legendary songwriters (mainly in the rock world), who wrote their best music in their 20's, then dropped off the next two decades, only to rebound in their 50's and 60's. While the prevailing theme is that artists do their best work young, then drop and level off in their later years, there are those that are late bloomers. One songwriter, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, saw a significant drop off from his 20's that lasted for decades. He had a rebound in his 60's that brought him to the same level he was when he started.

My concern about LB is that he has disappeared from doing anything since Mylene's Monkey Me album in 2012. Her 2010 album was the first time they did not collaborate, then got back together for Monkey Me, then nothing since. Maybe health problems? He is given credit along with Mylene for Julia's songs, but they might not be fresh. I have looked around for any kind of news about LB outside of Wiki, and I cannot find anything that is not six years old or older.

I'm skeptical. I need some examples. (In particular, I want to see some #1 hits--- not just songs that are "pleasant".)

So you're telling me that Brian Wilson was writing #1 hits when he was in his 60's. Can you give a few examples? Tell me the names of these #1 hits, please-- because I'm not aware of them.

It's really not that difficult if you like modern French pop scene and can analyze things . The key issue here is whether Alizée needs such people at all. She doesn't seem to show interest in singing.

OK, let's take Bob Dylan. He never had a #1 hit during his hey day in the 60's. A few reached #2 though. He had three #1 hits from 1974-1976, then faded. He came back in 2006 with a #1 hit, then another in 2009. In 2009 he was 68 years old.
