Though Alizee by far is my favorite all time singer with songs that have changed my life, I think my favorite all time song is "Different Drum" by Linda Ronstadt and I'm sure I've probably mentioned that before. I think she has a lot of the type of beauty, a lot of the same type of charm Alizee has.
Linda has several very good songs, but Different Drum stands out. It's too bad she wasn't in an age where video was so available. Of course most great songs are sung later on by someone else and in so many cases, they don't do justice to the original singer, but this rendition of Different Drum by Carrie Underwood I think is incredible. |

Well…
We all kind of know that my “heart”, kind of belongs to Alizeé, in a sort of “chaste”, “untouchable” sort of way. She is to me, a wonderful, almost, kind of “guilty”, pleasure… Shakira, however, can have ALL of the “rest of me”, and there is no “guilt” there, whatsoever… “Smokin’ hot”, utterly tiny, stunningly beautiful latin goddess… Defenitely brings out the "beast", in this “old grey wolf”… Shakira - She Wolf Shakira - Did it Again Shakira - Underneath Your Clothes (Official Music Video) Shakira - Give It Up To Me (Official Music Video) Shakira - Whenever, Wherever (Video) http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=weRHyjj34ZE Shakira - Hips Don't Lie (Official Music Video) ft. Wyclef Jean Shakira - La Tortura (Official Music Video) ft. Alejandro Sanz Shakira - Rabiosa (Pitbull Version) ft. Pitbull Shakira - Addicted to You Shakira - Te Aviso, Te Anuncio (Tango) (Video Oficial) Shakira - Don't Bother Shakira - Can't Remember to Forget You ft. Rihanna Shakira - Gypsy (Official Music Video) Timeless, ageless beauty… “Sensuality”, “personified”… Enjoy... Last edited by RedRafe; 06-11-2020 at 09:25 PM.. |

I stumbled across this video last night, a live recording of Voodoo Child by Stevie Ray Vaughn. I was blown away.
For anybody who might not know who he is, he is an amazing guitarist from Dallas who pretty much created his own genre of music, Texas Blues. He died in 1990 at the age of 35 in a helicopter crash after giving a concert. What made this even more significant to me was that the venue he played at that night (Alpine Valley), was an outdoor venue that is very near the city that I grew up in, and went to MANY concerts there during the 70's and 80's. Anyway, I hope you enjoy. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6wl-EyhXl0 And last but not least, remove the s in https:// and your video will be properly embedded: I hope that helps, I know I needed a refresher in doing that when I came back from a hiatus. Another thing, the downside of the internet is that sometimes things get deleted or taken down, and links end up dead. If you look through the old pages in this thread you can see lots of dead links and nothing to indicate what was posted. To allow others in the future to know what was shared, it is also helpful to add the artist or band name, song name, or title of the clip. It may help you find stuff you posted yourself later down the road too. |
