It must be nice to live in France part of the time; as you get to see all of the sights ! Although I am remiss in the States; as I haven't seen all the sights; except for Niagara Falls ( slowly I turned, step by step ? ! ) and the Mississippi River at one point, and several Civil war Battlefields ( as I was a Buff ! ); so even in my own country I am a stick in the mud, as it were ! Thank you Marshal. Yes I love France, I'm happy to be able to spend so much time there. I want to be someone that fully understands and respects the culture and is a true part of the community, rather than just a foreigner who buys property for holidays and drives the house prices up! haha As you can tell by the fact that I'm starting to move into producing French language movies, documentaries and music, its my hope to one day be as accepted and connected in French media circles as I am in Britain and America. For now though its baby steps in the right direction and dipping my toes into that water.
I'm very lucky that over the years my job has allowed me to travel a lot, though of course mostly only to big cities where movies are produced or promoted. For example I spend a lot of time in the States, but only really know NYC, LA and Orlando/Tampa (I have worked freelance for Disney/Marvel/Star Wars a lot, and done some indie stuff via Universal, and both have Studio Backlots in Florida for filming cheap recreations of streets in New York without having to pay to shut down the real ones!). As for getting your book on Amazon, that's very possible - if you don't know already, I'd point you towards Amazon's KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) service, its perfect for getting your books both available on Kindle devices digitally, but also physical paperback and hardback editions available on Amazon in multiple countries! When I was growing up in the 80s and early 90s, my Mum was a very well respected writer of short stories and poems in the UK, often on TV, radio, newspapers and magazines. I've recently helped her to collate 40+ years of her work into 4 collections for Amazon! The Collective Works of Ann Leyfield I found the process very easy and straightforward and Amazon are very helpful if you come across any issues. There are basically no startup costs and you can even get your books available to bookstores and libraries in the US and UK too. Its also pretty easy to get Audible versions of your books available too, as long as you can pay for voice acting. Last edited by Samuel Victor; 09-23-2024 at 12:13 PM.. |

I like the French, their customes, etc. and their audiences seem very nice ! As you can see in lots of Alizee's videos; they are dancing with Alizee !
Maybe I can visit someday ( if I hit the lottery ) Ha ! Right now my finances are tight ! Scruffydog777 has traveled extensively there and other places in europe ! Thank You for the Info I have a couple of Phamplets already on Amazon; but nobody reads me ! Ha ! This will be my first book, per se, so maybe that will change ! My problem was that my hard drive failed on my old computer and took out a lot of my stuff; so I had to rebuild it on a new computer ! Luckily I had an old backup, I found. It means you should back up your computer at least once a year ! I even had a plane video, I copyrighted; but I lost my work on that, so I would have to re-build it ! I am kind of a secretive guy; but when I publish the book, I might send author's copies to selected Alizeeamerica members; as my "cover" will be blown ! It sound like you are very experienced in the media ! That must be Great ! I always had a hankering to be a Directer ! Ha ! But perhaps my book will be made into a movie ! I try to write it that way ! Last edited by Marshal Davout; 09-23-2024 at 03:00 PM.. |

Yes the French people are wonderful. Once I realised I loved France and wanted to settle there more permanently I've stayed all over the country exploring everywhere trying to find where I'd best like to settle down. No matter where I've been the people have always been extremely welcoming to me and instantly made me feel part of the community.
Also, yeah I'm very lucky to have a cool, fun and creative job. Its hard work of course and certainly not all sunshine and rainbows but I'm glad I took the path I did. As for backup, yes they are extremely important! Nowadays for important things like your book I'd highly recommend using a cloud backup too, just incase. |

I'd chip in to help get this made, if licensing/other costs become a problem. I am in favor of anything that gets Alizée's music in front of more people, and when you say "it will be 100% positive with no scandal or negativity, [snip] I have no intention of raking up anything bad its just one big celebration of a long career made by a fan and with the input of fans." this inspires confidence in me - there's already been enough false controversy in her life, I like the angle you're taking.
I wish you the best of luck on your project! |

Thank you Chicago, that's very kind! Yes I hate the negative muck-raking aspect of the media, that is not for me at all!
While I say this is a "documentary" as it will be dealing with history and facts, its doing so from the perspective of a positive celebration of her career and achievements. I've no intention of doing anything that would upset or offend her, why would I when I'm both a long term fan, and a industry professional hoping to work with her? |

A new Alizée documentary, and some more news
Just like the others I really like what you are planning.
If I can help in any way please ask here or let me know. If you want to get in contact with more fans of Alizée for your documentary you could try Telegram, since it's more active compared to the forum. Earlier we have tried to retreive Alizée archive footage in the best quality possible of her iconic performances, not only in France but also in The Netherlands, Italy and Spain, but in most cases this didn't work out since we were not media professionals so we were not able to actually get the footage, if you could use the contact info we found please let me know. As you might have seen, aside from the two Olympia concerts on 7 and 8 September 2025, it was announced yesterday that Alizée is part of the 2026 I Gotta Feeling tour as well, for which Alizée will be traveling in 20 French cities to perform from the end of January to March 2026. |

And Dueling Alizees http://www.youtubemultiplier.com/646...isla-bonia.php I usually play Ella Ella LA audio as I love it ! Since then I have gone crazy with it and have produced 10 different ones or more on various subjects. There is probably a better application out there somewhere for multiple video players . Only someone who is truly crazy about Alizee would do this Like Marshal Davout ! Ha ! And a NENA and Kim Wilde Play the sound on the one on the right ! http://www.youtubemultiplier.com/644...e-universe.php I think somebody plays with the sounds as sometimes they turn them down and you have to turn them back Up ? If I knew what I was doing on the Internet I might be dangerouse ! Ha ! Last edited by Marshal Davout; 10-21-2024 at 11:07 PM.. |

Edit: Also thanks Marshall, yes its interesting seeing the differences between the clips in the music video for the French vs English version. I vastly prefer the French versions of the songs from that album, so I rarely watch the English music video, but I have considered going through and taking all the original footage from it and making an extended mix or something using one of the remixes. I like the "bubbly club" one and plan to use it in another French language project. Last edited by Samuel Victor; 10-30-2024 at 12:27 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doubleposts |
