I'de flag down all the papparazzi and tell them to form a human chain - we would then pull each of them out!

Right, Alizee must be saved at all costs! I can't believe I would even consider saving anyone else. Alizee must be saved for the good of the world.
Alizee is not an ordinary person, you have to factor that in the split second to decide. She is quite extraordinary and must be saved for the enjoyment of all. Even if it was my mother out there, yes Alizee must be saved first. |

I still think the fact that Alizée is a strong swimmer has to be factored in. Not to mention her lucky star. Look, parallel situation. A tree is falling. In the pathway are a world-famous athlete and a guy in a wheelchair. Who do you save first? The guy in the wheelchair, because the athlete is much better positioned to save himself.
By the same reasoning, I would save my sister first, because she's not a very good swimmer, and Alizée would have a better chance of surviving until I could get back to her -- or even of saving herself. It's comparing a chance of Lili drowning to a certainty of my sister drowning. |

I don't agree. I don't think she is a strong swimmer, she just doesn't have the shoulders for it or the physique. Did you see the Passengers England video of her wearing all that safety equipment, flotation devices all over her body getting on that jet ski?
She had an upper body and neck flotation device on, a wet suit that helps keep you afloat and heaven knows what other precautions she was taking. Yeah i bet she knows how to swim but in the ocean you have to be very cautious which she is. Remember Corsica isn't surrounded by a lake, lol My hypothetical was the ocean she was swimming in. Not some lake or pond or backyard swimming pool. |

Come on you guys it's a simple question and you keep adding factors into it. Ok ok, let's try this one: You are in a locked room. Escape is impossible. A man's voice comes over the intercom. Alizee is in a room in an undisclosed location. Your (insert sister, brother, mother, father, girlfriend, boyfriend...you get my drift) is in the same dire straits. You are told a gun is pointed at each of them. The voice says you will go free when you choose one for execution within 10 seconds. If you do not respond, both will be killed. Oh and btw, they both know it is you who is making the decision.
Remember, you are in a locked room were escape is impossible. They are in two different buildings and nowhere near where you are. Good Luck |

You could snap your neck if you get flinged off a jetski hard enough.
I actually thought of asking this question a while back but thought it would be pretty sick and unfair to bring up like someone else said. Family first for me but I have a knack for being able to analyse situations quite quickly so it would all be situational in any case. But if they were both in the same situation, sorry Alizée (and the world). This question sux... - What if you save Alizée and she isn't grateful, but disgusted that you didn't save your flesh and blood first? Or what if you save your family member, but you're condemned to live underground because the world is disgusted at you? (where's that crying smiley when you need it )
