Am using Mcafee Professional Edition V.10.... it's always safe and security.... i trust that one rather than Norton.... since norton is making my system slow.... i used to prefer Mcafee....

I use AVG Anti-Virus, the free version. I'm satisfied with it.

I use Mcafee as I get it for free. I hate Norton though.

As a former McAfee tech grunt, I approve of this distaste for Norton. :>

As I shut my windows and got a mac, I don't need any anti-virus anymore...

I'm whith you guys (Mac)..... . I have never had a need for antivirus since my first Mac, 7-8 years ago......... As far as backing-up, thats a good advise, you never know what else could happen (hurricane, earthquake, etc,.).

I agree. Suppose you lose all your Lili videos, you're going to cry very hard

Well, I have not had any use for anti-virus on windows either for 10 or more years. Most of that time I haven't had even installed anti-virus to speak truth. Chances to get virus when using brains is pretty limited.

Still, there can be virus any day for either platform, as well as for linux or any other OS. Windows of course gets more since it's more used. Altho, nowadays virii are very rare anyways. It's more about worms nowadays. And they are crappy ones too... full of bugs... where ever went decent virii.

But anyways, point was that you can wake up anyday to reality that your OSX has hanged itself and all your Lili stuff is gone.

Tho... to spoil all fun... it can happen even if you have anti-virus since good virus passes it and does the damage before the anti-virus is updated to detect it.
