well, when Richard Dean Anderson was in it, he would add random lines when recording, just for the hell of it... and they left them in cause he was a producer.. but when someone would say a line, (I.E. whenever they talked to Apophis or Anubis or when they were getting the Eye of Raw, and they were cornered in the room, he added a few lines in that weren't on the script) he would just insert a line of his own.. that's why he was so good, and i believe, in seasons 8-10, the new guy (forgot his name already ) put in a few lines of his own...

as for ending when Richard Dean Anderson left.. bah, there was still some life left in the Series... and i don't think they really wrapped up all the charcters (typo?) at the end of Season 8...
