I love the Lourve. My photos aren't on this laptop unfortunately, but I have been there a few times. I have to agree with you Toc De Mac, the sheer scale of some paintings was amazing, the same with the statues. Napoleon's apartments were also pretty amazing, the furniture was impressive, and the thought that someone actually lived there.

I'll put up some of my pics if I get the chance.

I didn't do it myself, but it's a nice 360° view of le Louvre at night :

We went there about 20 minutes before it opened and waited in line, then stayed there until the crowd started heating up a little after midday. Though even around lunch time it wasn't that crowded, probably because the whole museum is so huge that everyone is so spread out.

And yep, you're allowed to take photos of the paintings (though some of them they might not want you to use a flash, I'm not really sure).

The prices are not bad at all. It is so neat that you get to see all that history and art for a good price.

"Such a shame to believe in escape
A life on every face
And that's a change, till I'm finally left with an eight
Tell me to react, I just stare
Maybe I don't know if I should change
A feeling that we share...
It's a shame
(Such a shame)
Number me with rage, it's a shame
(Such a shame)
Number me in haste, it's a shame
This eagerness to change
It's a shame..."
