Well, around here...

There's a vodka with a Swedish flag on it, I think they call is Svedka.

Sweden is thought to have beautiful women, in particular the "Swedish Bikini Team" that travels around doing promotional stuff.

I think of Sweden as being very cold, lots of snow.

"Swedish Meatballs" is a food served in many places in the US. Meatballs prepared in the Swedish style.

IKEA, the store, is very well known and popular, in particular with the college crowd and younger folks.

I like IKEA stuff. Didn't know it was Swedish.

Isn't SAAB their car? They've got cool jets too, the Gripen, right? Hot babes, although I've not been fortunate to meet one. I think the lucky people who do have Swedish girlfriends/wives probably keep them locked up in the house.

Forgive me if I'm way off though

Vikings (historically). That king whose name I keep forgetting who almost conquered Germany in the Renaissance except he died on the battlefield. One of the most socialist-leaning countries in Europe in modern times (not counting Communist countries). Large numbers of immigrants to the northern part of the U.S., especially the state of Minnesota. (Probably to Canada, too.) Seattle's Ballard district. Neutrality in World War II, along with Switzerland. Pacifism, which is a nice contrast to the Vikings.

Oh, yeah, and stereotypically tall, blond, buxom, blue-eyed beauties who look nothing at all like Alizée but are gorgeous anyway.
