Clerks actually cost about 27,000, and it went on to gross over 3,000,000. then again, it wasnt shown in that many theaters. the blair witch project, on the other hand, cost 22,000, and it has grossed over 250,000,000. talk about profit, eh?

as for other kevin smith movies, dogma has to be my favorite.

I thought the ending was just fine. From the beginning of the movie you learn that this video was recovered so it was safe to assume that the person video taping was going to die. I do believe the couple died too seeing as they were saying their goodbyes and they hadn't got far enough away to escape the bomb.

As far as a sequel goes I had read something that was supposbly from someone who worked on the movie saying that if this movie did well he could see doing a sequel from a different persons view point. He talked about a part on the bridge early in the film where the guy with the camera is looking around and you see another person filming too and that could be a point in the movie where to two intersect for a split second, but the rest of the story and characters would be different. It was just a idea and notheing official he said, but something he thought about. I will look around and see if I can find where I read it at.

Dogma rocks, but I never liked the blaire witch project.

Boooooooo, would be cool to see the couple get up and fire is shown in the city. Would be better if now they just had to survive while the monster finished off what was left of NYC. Makes me scared to go to NYC and think man Cloverfield was shot here. That thing could come out of anywhere. lol jk

at least we all understand it's necessary to have a real story to make a good flick, filming ppl escaping for 1h30 is not enough to motivate ppl go watch a movie, even if you use a handycam and a huge rubber monster
hope cloverfield 2 will be better than blair witch 2
well, "writters guilde on strike" is over , let's be optimistic
us audience is about to say "j'en ai marre", they want REAL movies now

Recently I've watched Juno, Across the Universe, the French film Persepolis, and I'm about to go watch another, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, so no time to discuss, but I recommend all of those movies.

Watched Meet The Spartans last night with friends. One of the worst spoof movies I've seen so far . There were a couple of funny parts but it was really short and the jokes got worse and worse the more the movie went on.
