I've had DSL for a couple of years now and it makes a lot of difference, I love the speed. Congrats!

I found our little girl because of DSL.

I couldn't really down load anything bigger than say 10Mb with Dial up.
So if the file was bigger I just ignored it and went on my way to something else. I got DSL and I found La Isla Bonita with in a week or so.
The rest is history.

They're wiring me up right this second. Can't wait to get everything hooked up to the PC, hopefully in a couple days.

hi
it's crazy, I didn't know there were places without hi speed internet there
thought those kinda stuff only existed in ol'europe
corsicans are into hi tech and use optic fiber or dsl
do you think they're gonna put kinda cables in the atchafalaya river?
laisse le bon temps rouler
funny thing with southern La is that ppl expect everybody to speak french and then realize there's a bunch of texans who moved there to work in the oil stuff
cheers

^^ Sadly, the US is pretty slow with our broadhand expansion. Remote areas are just out of luck as far as big companies are concern.

Well, at least the internet on the modem is better than dailing up BBS's on a modem. Back then the 'guy who lives far away' was in the same state!

Cool Welcome To The Future, uh, hmm Present

I know how you feel. I once had to pay $60 a month for hi-speed internet via satellite. It was still slower than cable, costs $10 more, and would go off-line during an electrical storm...basically making me

But, that was 3 yrs ago.

I remember the day I first got DSL.

Actually it felt more like three days

Anyway... my memory is still a little fuzzy as to what I did that day

If you're a gamer, start playing games online. But the greatest thing for having all that bandwidth? Porn...

I just got stationed in North West Louisiana, I was hoping to meet some nice women here but so far it sucks... Uncle Sam needs to send me back overseas dammit.
