Alizée’s success in Mexico is an amazing story and quite inspiring. I think her popularity and sales there are playing a big part in keeping her career viable. At one time I thought she might need sales in other countries and new markets (like the US and/or Canada) to help her out, but Mexico has done a good job of providing that support for her. I think her fan base is large enough now to guarantee a continuation of her career without having to enter any more markets.

Like: losing her privacy, having the gossip rags say awful things about her, not being able to do what she wants because she has to invest too much energy in "staying successful", etc. etc.

Right, and if you look at some old publications (e.g., at alizee-fanpage.com), you can see some elements of the tabloid press, particularly Voici, were less than kind to her (making crass comments about her short skirts, rather mean general statements about what she was up to, insinuating that she was dating her manager at the time, etc., etc.)

In some ways, I like Snatcher's idea with traveling to foreign countries. It's a great experience, but I think one would have to keep track of all those frequent flyer miles. I'm game for another trip to Mexico at least. Canada would be nice too. I need a trip to Europe, but don't want to go alone.

Like what was said before though, the paparazzi tends to over do things and make celebrities like Britney go crazy. But if she comes here once to do a signing or a concert to please us (the American fans), you really think she will become that big over night though?

LOL me neither, I thought she never cursed. We are talking about somebody when asked their favorite insult on bad drivers she says "Space case", its cute but its no vulgar lol. That's why im saying they probably deserved it.
