Converting MPEG/MPEG2 into AVI

I need a new FREE converting program since my old one has started to ask for a ciertan amount of euros. This is for converting videos into AVI so that I can edit them in WMM, anyone got a tip? I would like one that's not so complicated to use and does not give a watermark or anything like that.

Would be greatly appriciated if you actually had tried the program/software on your own.

Dude you are in Sweden....Its torrent heaven over there....surely there must be an obscure program to do the job(open-source if you prefer)!!

Looked at three diffrent sites, most torrents are dead. OR there are no seeders

And also virus programs and blahblahblah

I don't know any programs off hand, but I'd be surprised if you couldn't find anything to do the job on sourceforge.
