To most people a first impression sticks out in their mind the most. If one sees something that grabs immediate attention they will be sucked in; A first impression can also turn one completely around. For many things there is a mid-phase, a sort of "yea its cool, but whatever" additude.
I think with someone as unique as Alizee if you dont get her the first time, you never will. She doesnt have a mid-phase to her, her appeal rests on the extremes. You either become amature stalker like, and join forums to talk about her. Or you watch her, think of her as just somethingelse, and change the channel.
