You haven't heard Alizée until you've heard Alizée in a metal sandwich.

ACK!!! BITE YOUR TONGUE!!!
Seriously, I love Madonna's music almost as much as I do Alizée's but that song I can't stand. What I would love to hear her cover is not Like A Virgin, but Like A Prayer. That is, in my opinion, the best song Madonna ever sang, bar none.

I just got a chance to watch it and all I can say is WOW!
I read all your comments before watching the video. When I did watch it I was wondering what many were commenting about. She did a great job with a dance number. I agree with the idea that using 4 dancers really works for Alizée when she performs her songs, and I hope she continues that format for some songs when she goes on tour. However, for this song 10 dancers worked fine. The overall effect was the goal, and Alizée performed her part well. I can't compare it to LIB as the intention was different. (Note: I do hope she does another song like LIB where she really demonstrates how good she is at movement - as LIB is still one of my favorite of her performances). This was simply a fun song. The audiance liked it, the dancers liked it, and ALizée seemed pleased with how it was going. What I am wondering about is if we are seeing a new road being mapped for where she is directing her career. For example, I wonder if she wants to do a musical on Broadway (or elsewhere)? In other words, move from being purely a singer to becoming a performer. (Another fun thought, if the above turns out to be true, maybe Rocket will end up on stage with her some day).

It's Madonna at her tackiest and most commercial.
After Like A Prayer, my favorites are Material Girl and Get Together. Material Girl is wonderfully satirical, and Get Together expresses the same mystical/spiritual sexuality that Like A Prayer does, only IMO not quite as well; it's more laid back while Like A Prayer is passionate. I guess Like A Virgin is passionate, too, but it doesn't come across to me as real. Also, it was the first Madonna song I ever heard, and I saw her perform it on a TV show, in which she was wearing a white wedding dress while rolling around on a bed moving like a complete slut. (Heh -- well, that part I liked, admittedly. ) Seriously, can you imagine Alizée doing something like that? I can't.
