![]() A random autograph signing wasn't how she became a success in Mexico either. The session was spawned firstly because of fan promotion and the radio promotion that followed.

![]() I think it's very important that we increase our numbers. Gaining media attention would certainly help that, but I don't know if it's possible yet. I mean, I wanted to start talking about officers for LTNY - people who could meet in real life to organize events - but with 22 people on MySpace and 12 on Facebook, it's a little slim.
And the quote is from Field of Dreams!!! Last edited by Ben; 07-16-2008 at 10:30 PM.. |

![]() If Alizée and her people wanted to make it happen, they could. I think people underestimate the power that people in the music industry have. Leona Lewis, a singer from the UK just released her album in the US not too recently. She does sing in english, but Alizée does too, just not often.
Releasing the new La Isla Bonita as a single in the US would be a great start for her. I can understand not wanting to take on the music industry in the US...they will chew you up and spit you out. Shes gone to quite a few places where fans have begged her to come and perform for them. Why not us? It would make me very, very sad if she never performed here...otherwise I will probably never be able to see her live. ![]() |

![]() Same... And as I've said in other topics, why doesn't Sony put some of her songs into the SingStar games? After all, don't they own her label?

![]() Her fans are just too spread out for us to get together for real, they're few and far in between. I'd say myspace is probably the best option for now.

![]() I wouldn’t wait for Alizée or her people to make the first move. They didn’t in Mexico. As I said before, I don’t think Alizée’s sales have been strong enough to bankroll a promotion in the US. I don’t know what her contract looks like, but typically some or all of these expenses are recovered from the artist’s cut. I don’t think anyone here wants her to risk her money. Like Mexico, it will require the fans to do the up-front work.
There are inexpensive things that Team Alizée could do to help, though. These have been discussed before, like getting her on some TV shows here. They could contact the US fan websites and simply tell us what needs to be accomplished to get her here or maybe give a little marketing and promo advice. Of course Sony/BMG could do something really cool like have Alizée record a duet with one of their popular artists in the US.

![]() So a clear path has been established.
Now we need people to walk down these roads. Which path is to be taken? After the concerts i'll be doing heavy Alizée promotion on the California end, perhaps contacting the local radio stations, etc. etc.
