ok, so I will ask my friend if she wants to watch it with me in 3D when we go to the cinema... not this weekend sadly, she cancelled our plans... but mum wants to see it too ;D

ok here's my review... full of spoilers

All in all it was a really good adaption of the book. Yeah, there were differences (the first was the fact that Ollivander knows about the Deathly Hallows what should have been Xeno Lovegood's part) and also the way Harry identified the Horkruxes with a little bit different. But this was simply a result of the changes in HP6. And they solved it in a very celver way. That the Horkruxes (or better the pieces of Voldemorts soul) "talked" to Harry so he could find them even if he had no idea what they were. Ok perhaps it was a bit "easy" this way but it was a really good idea how to fix the missing knowledge from the previous films.

It was just a bit sad that Dumbledore's past, his friendship to Grindelwald and the circumstances of young Ariana's Death weren't really mentioned. Also there was also so less about the Deathly Hallows in Dumbledore's and Harry's conversation. They only talked about the Elder Wand, not about the other Hallows and as far as I remember neither in Part I nor in Part II it was mentioned that Harry's Cloak of invisibility was the 3rd Hallow.

But it's an adaption of the book, not the book itself so I have to be fair.

Compared to Part 6 - where a lot of really important informations were cut out - these infos about Dumbledore and the Hallows weren't necessary to understand the film or a next part.

Something that might be a bit confusing was Sirius' old Two-way-mirror which Aberforth got and why Harry had a shard of it (or better the other mirror) because it was never mentioned before.. so everybody who doesn't know the book had to accept the existence of this shard as a fact who he or she perhaps doesn't understand 100 %. But the story goes on and soon it will be forgotten.

And what I have noticed afterwards - not during the film, maybe one or two days after I saw it - is that Dumbledore did not explained WHY Harry survived - because of Lily's blood and her protection she gave Harry. That could be confusing for non-readers... as such a huge Potterhead I haven't realised this missing knowledge for a while because I simply knew why Harry survived... Maybe the people who don't know could guess that it was a malfunction of the Elder Wand, who also didn't manage to kill Harry in the duell with Voldemort afterwards...

Apart from that it was so damn epic. First it was so calm that I nearly was scared that it would go on like this the whole time but luckily not. The Gringotts scene was really cool and nicely done, the Battle of Hogwarts was great, the visual effects were fantastic... but the film finally start to take my breath away shortly after the Trio destroyed Ravenclaw's diadem, at the latest in the moment Snape died.... The atmosphere of the film was amazing and when Snape's memories finally revealed his true personality (even if this younger Alan Rickman aka Snape looked a bit weird... ) I was so fascinated, I didn't dare to take my look away from the screen... it also was so loveable that they added scenes from the previous films here... the memories where so great and heart-breaking (in the novel Snape didn't go inside the Potter's house after Lily was killed but it was perfect in the film) and afterwards I felt like I have felt years ago in 2007 when I read the Deathly Hallows the first time, totally sure that Harry Potter has to die.. I was kind of scared in the moment Voldemort killed Harry even if I knew he would come back... goose-bumps for sure...

"19 years later" was so cute. Maybe some people don't like the epilog, I just love it and it was so sweet to see the new Potter generation enter the Hogwarts Express... but Hermione really was the only one who aged really well compared to the others

Spoiler: P. S. - and by the way 

Why a lot of people (non-readers) thought after the film that Snape is Harry's father?! Wth... in nearly every film people told Harry how much he resembles James and that he only inherit Lily's eyes and just because of a few minutes in the last film people think that Snape is Harry's father... doesn't make sense...

I finally got around to seeing it; it did not let me down... I thought it was great! I will say the last seen was sorta sad even with its joyous mood .... I just feel old lol. I saw the first one (Sorcerer's Stone) with my parents a few days after my 11th birthday making me the same exact age as Harry in the film (Daniel is a year older than me in real life, but I am the same age as Emma). It is kinda sad to see them age along with myself as well as to see it finally end .... something I grew up with. Time is just going too fast! I do like how the movie does come full circle; it was such a touching scene!

And you think you're old... It seems like yesterday when I was in 8th grade and everyone kept cracking jokes about Emma finally being legal... and the whole day I was just thinking

a. "yeah, but you're 12... why do you have this 'I got dis' attitude like you're going to go tap that tomorrow?"
