Just the guitar and her voice. A quiet one to finish, I like that.

I like it, and I can already play along with my guitar.

That's two songs now where she sings about "leaving".

A very awesome song. 1 guitar, 1 piano, her amazing voice Can't stop listening. So soothing...

well as far as I know I am ordinary and I love it Also it's not a single, it's only one song of the new album and you normally don't concentrate on one song when you buy an album, don't you?

I seriously already loved the song before she started to sing... just because the intro alone is incredibly beautiful, so simple... just the guitar... the whole song is just the guitar and her beautiful voice, it's pretty "intimate" (I don't really know if it's the right word for it but I don't know a better one), pretty "personal"... it's just her and the guitar and her voice is made for acoustic stuff like this, Alizée's voice can shine in songs like this, it's much more beautiful than A cause de l'automne...

To be honest to me it's the most beautiful song I've ever heard on an Alizée album so far.

I'm just really really happy now.

I like it, it's so unusual and unlike any of her other songs I think. The only Zée song I can compare it to is SMR's Acoustic Guitar Cover of Têmpete.
Idk if anyone else has heard it, it's quite good

oh no you are not. You are a big fan of Alizee. You have over 6000 post about her combined AF and AA forums.
I have nothing against this song. I think it's good song and it would be amazing to hear it live in small club. But she needs much more than this song to start selling the album and get back to the center of attention

yeah but that doesn't mean that I can't appreciate a song like a "normal" person.

As I said I loved the song even before she started singing and this has nothing to do with Alizée. I love it simply because of the "acoustic" sound and because it's so simple. I simply like this kind of music when you can close your eyes and drift away. Where it's just the singer with his/her voice and one or two simple instruments. Where you don't feel "crushed" by the music.... I hope you know what I mean...

I know exactly what you mean. I really like this song, and for all the reasons you stated! There are no gimmicks, just Alizée's voice to carry the song through. She is right in what I consider her best range, and it's about as pure as music can get.

my view... the style of song remember me of La Javanaise... simple, nice, where Alizées voice is showing up in the best

Love the song! It's so nice to hear just HER.

And I didn't get any email Scruffy, were you referring to those who ordered the collectors edition?

Edit:

RMJ did a translation of the song.

I put in my bag all my promises
And in my heart all my passions
Some bandages for my clumsiness
A counterfeit iPod

I put in my bag all the smiles
That I was given to come across
I put there your sighs
When I told you I would go

I leave for my life, driven by the night
I leave in silence, driven by my luck
Carried by the wind, I’m leaving now

I put in my bag this old mirror
To see my life updside down
I put there this beautiful black leather
That made my mother so cry

I put in my bag all the indifferences
That I was given to come across
I put there your silence
When I told you I would go

I leave for my life, driven by the night
I leave in silence, driven by my luck
Carried by the wind, I’m leaving now

I’m leaving now
