So it seems that Mr Coucou may be right. Probably she wears contact lenses everyday but she prefers to wear glasses at home because, from what i know and Scruffy said, lenses can be uncomfortable. And probably she is actually nearsighted, since it seems that she doesn't seem to wear it at the pc (but she could easly be wearing contact lenses so...).
I've just remembered a photo where she's lying on the couch without glasses and with her phone close to her eyes. I can't remember if she was at her home (because I'm sure she was wearing her shoes on the couch) but could this be another proof that she is nearsighted? It is the same type of photo of her at the pc: it could have been taken just a moment before she wore the glasses, but since we know she might be nearsighted...

Alizee is really close to her phone here. I have worn contact lenses for 43 years. I am near-sighted and my vision outside of an arm's length from my eyes is horrible. If I am wearing my contacts, I will look at my phone at a normal distance, but if not, I would have to hold my phone like Alizee is doing here to see the screen clearly.

I've posted this picture before. In my opinion, the ultimate "Alizee with glasses" picture. I think the shape of her face fits the aviator type glasses and sunglasses best.

A very obvious question: why is Alizée's second album called "Mes courants électriques"?
I've always wondered this but I've never found any explanation or anything "official" about it. The name of the album is tied to A Contre-Courant and the electricity metaphors in it, but is it just that? I was thinking that "Mes courants électriques" could be an "electric" way to refer to her experiences about love... But, above all... Why is there that giant heel shoe on the cover!? Because she is not twenty??? |

The album has more electronic influences than Gourmandises. I think they wanted to emphasize it somehow. http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8123 interesting discussion about the shoe Last edited by kulli; 09-01-2019 at 02:30 PM.. |

Yeah, interesting stuff. But there isn't a univocal answer. There is also a post with a link to an article in which Alizée was asked about this subject but the link is dead
Anyway it seems Scruffydog has something to hide. Quote:

Performance on the Polish show “Kawa czy Herbata (café o te)” (Source Nidalizée and tinkalizée) This is the only televised performance in Poland. There was another recording for Polish TV however this was never broadcasted. In the 2nd one Alizée is upset by the interviewer and Oliver (her manager) finishes the interview. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1alf...ew?usp=sharing Is this never broadcasted video? Alizee doesn't look happy. Does anyone knows background to that story? |

Here is a translation of that interview that Ray4AJ came up with when he was active here.
I think what you don't get clearly from the translation is that their questions and comments about black rappers in France seemed to be of an insulting nature and that is why she got upset. "I dug around in the archives and found some translations people did back in the day. Note - At the end she asks for "Olivier." Olivier was basically her manager at the time. I don't know what his official duties were, but he traveled with her and dealt with the PR aspects, among other things. Quote: translation by Croolik and BackinBlack I Background voice: And what does she think about the fact that in Poland the music of black Frenchmen is very popular? The rap music? Does she listen to this kind of music? According to her what is the source of this popularity? (translation into french) Alizée: Personally, I don't like it at all. (translation into polish) (laugh from background) II BV: We in Poland, we are perceiving France as our closest partner in Western Europe, etc. Does she know anything about Poland and if so - could she tell what she knows? (translation, but not exact, the woman says: "do you know anything about Poland? You're here since yesterday. 1 day and a half. So, do you know anything about Poland? Do you have any impressions?) Alizée: It's very cold. (translation into polish) III BV: Now we're gonna ask her... Alizée: Can we call Olivier for two seconds? (Olivier!) BV: So say that this is a programme where there's not any host. She must record it... (?)" Explanation: The programme is called "30ton". It presents music charts in Poland. It's aired on the second channel of Polish television (TVP2). Each week there's a different host - an artist or a band. The programme is divided into small parts. At the beginning (or the end if you prefer) of each part the host says something about him/herself or a short story, whatever. The problem: Instead of giving full, structured answers, Alizée prefered to say two or three words which is obviously unacceptable if you want to prepare a programme such as "30 ton". The other thing is the choice of questions. If I were her, I would have acted in the similar way. ************************************************** ******************** translation by extremeR Reporter: And what does she think (BTW: all questions are said to the translator...stupid, isnt it?) about black french rapers, does she listen to that sor of music and where did those rapers come from...? Because here in Poland it is veeery famous Alizee: Actually I dont like them, at all... R: We Poles treat France as the nearest partner in Western Europe and stuff like that.... Does she know anything about Poland? IF she does, she may say what does she know... A: It is very cold. R: Yep! So now we will please her.... regarding to it translate her that.... A: Can you call Olivier? ALL: Olivier!!!! R: This is a program where is no interviewer actually... Oh man, she is deserting! We have to catch HER, NOW!!!!!!!........... ************************************************** ******************** translation/transcription by ... unknown Reporter: And what does she think about black french rappers, does she listen to that sort of music and where did those rappers come from...? Because here in Poland it is veeery famous Alizee: Actually I dont like them, at all... R: We Poles treat France as the nearest partner in Western Europe and stuff like that....
