Rocket this happens all the time on different threads on different topics. More so on this topic, which is a continued discussion from different threads. It's a common thing on any forum to analyze & debate, believe it or not. So don't give yourself all the credit, unless of course you want it, by all means. (jk)

LOL OK, we're using different definitions here. Actually, though, I can't see that much if any she's thinner now than she was in 2003. Thinner than when she was pregnant, sure.

But I was referring to the expressions on her face and the way she holds herself. She's 23 -- there's no sense in expecting her to look middle-aged! Or even like she's in her 30s! So everything I'm talking about is a mental attribute that has a physical impact.



It might be interesting, but I'll tell you in advance I would simply write off such opinions as going purely by superficial perceptions. Physically, I can see hardly any difference at all between her appearance now and when she was 18. But mentally, and in the impact of her mind on how she holds herself, how she presents herself, the difference is huge.

Hum, do I need to remind you that you've said her matureness has nothing to do with her age, or the fact that she's older...

I see, so everybody else's opinion is purely superficial, except for yours of course. Too bad not everybody agrees with you, that's why some of her close fans have left, and the ones that remain are not as enthusiastic as they would like to be (think close). Many websites have closed, and myspace accounts have been deleted. All the ones that have given a reason have said three things, 1) they don't like the music as much and 2) they don't like her new image. And 3) they were expecting a more mature look. I'm sure you think all their opinion is wrong, and coincidental. But one test I made which consisted of people that had never seen or heard of her before proves my point: I took my (86 yr) mother for a regular hospital / clinic visit which consisted of her primary doctor, 3 specialist and a lab analysis. Without exaggerating I spent over 5 hours waiting for her. Fortunate for me I brought along my laptop, and my collection of Alizée performances. During the course of my waiting period, I was able to share the videos with 9 individuals both women and men. Some at different times of my waiting period. They all thought the same thing, that she was gorgeous and very talented. Also they all thought that the videos from "Gourmandises" was first, the videos from "Psychedelices" came second, and the videos from "Mes Courants Electriques" came third. Do you understand the point, they all thought that she looked more mature three years ago when performing "MCE". I showed them the videos in no particular order, they were all shuffled... I rest my case. By the way I made other tests with friends.

This will be my last post of this sort on this thread, so go ahead and say whatever, you can have the last word Deep. However, I reserve the right to change my mind.

I agree with you, Jess. In many cases Alizee in the past looked more mature than she is at the moment, she was more serious there, like in the A Countre-Courant TV performance I saw, for example.
And right now she is soo sweet I don't believe she's 23, she is not behaving very seriously like a mature human being with a serious social burden stuff on her back. Unbelieveable is the fact she is a mother and wife. Alziee is still a baby-like personality to me and she's all innocence glow and child-like ambiguity. I truly expected that today she would present herself as more mature looking and behaving after "A Contre-Courant" and Absolument Ete "Gourmandises" TV performances and interviews/videos of the period she visited Japan. But instead, at some points today, she's like she travelled back in time. A bit strange maybe, but very beautiful and joyous.

If you know a little bit of french you can see in the last TVshow she was part of how she gets comments that she hasn't grown very much. It was not much of a compliment, or on the opposite- disregard to her maturity, but a simple observation. And I totally agree!

I'm gonna have to disagree with every single thing you said. And I would wager a good amount that anybody here who has watched all her performances/interviews and looked into how she manages her life and her album production would agree that she is a very mature person right now.
